Movie Night (Official Movie Discussion Thread)

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 1 & 2 - how are your animation joints darker and far more interesting than your live adaptations? Warner/DC? This movies classic, for any comic book nerd

The Shape of Water - I finally came to watch it last weekend... Decent... Michael Shannon has to be the baddest of baddies in Hollywood... His villainous roles get under your skin

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - big Coen Bros. fan and I loved it... Them and Tarantino no one makes Westerns as good as them currently .... The nature on display (forests and deserts) has its own story apart from the actors 5/5

Roman J. Israel, Esq - Denzel plays an upstanding lawyer who plays clean with nothing to show for it in his life but he later snitches for a big financial reward and his life takes a hit for the worse...

His whole lifestyle looked like he was a 70s poster man living in the modern era lol... It was cool and funny in some parts cos... Denzel hardly does comedy

This ended up being pretty good

Coco - the Mexican animated film revolving around a young boy, his dead ancestors and music... Good film and clean graphics... Pixar stay winning

Unsane - low budget thriller from Steven Soderberg... Starring Claire Foy and Jay Pharaoh .. With an unannounced cameo from Matt Damon

Revolves around a dude stalking Foy and the guy manipulating her until she ends up in a mental facility

Stalking is a criminal offence but here it was just funny in a way; the guy turned up even in her home!

Cool film for a lonely late night and was shot entirely on an iPhone... 4/5

Bumblebee 4/5
