Black Ownership (property)

Understood. And this is a good example of what I mean. In that thread, Race railed against black landlords, not black property owners. That's not the same thing. She also said, per your quote, that private ownership should be abolished...not that black private ownership should be abolished. It sounds like she has an issue with the system that is setup where there are owners and renters, rather than having a problem with 'black ownership'.

Surely it can't be just me who that is painfully obvious too?

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

whew jesus*

So what were you talking about then? You brought up ownership in a thread about a Black man that bought an investment property in the hood.

In other threads you've talked about your distaste for Black ownership in the hood citing "... Black gentrification is still gentrification..."
So what is it? We already know you believe in Marxist ideology by going so far as to paraphrase Marx about how private property ownership serves only to perpetuate capitalism.

Black ownership doesn’t equal black gentrification.

the issue is not Black ownership per se but exploitation that comes from private ownership do to capitalism = slavery

So are you advocating for public ownership, which would suggest government. Or are you advocating for community ownership, which means the community decides who resides where?

read it again

i know you have trouble with comprehension
Dispense with the pettiness and have real discourse for once.

So private ownership results in exploitation, but only in a capitalistic society?

If so, under which system would private ownership be ok.

Me and my son looked at 9 acres in Michigan last year. They wanted like $6700. Wish I would have gotten it.

I literally just hollered at 10 acres in Gladwin County in mid-Michigan. Didn't do it 'cause the seller wanted to retain mineral and oil rights to the land.

I do have an acre and a half near Grayling off I75. Missed out on a beautiful piece of land near Marquette, wooded area, river running through it, IIRC 5 acres of just beautiful land with utilities right off the main road in the event I ever wanted to clear part of it and build. Mad as hell I didn't jump on it.

I’ve noticed a lot of land in Michigan always has some catch. Either they are going to keep the rights or the roads cannot be driven in the winter.I’ve also found land in Michigan that you can only enter illegally. You would have to go through someone else’s land to get your own. That’s just crazy. I been seeing a lot of cheap acres in Texas and even some deals in Oregon.

Were you looking in Northern MI? 'Cause that sounds like some upper peninsula b.s.

I'm sittin on 20 acres in Texas in Hudspeth County. My family (moms and her sister) has oil producing land near Mesquite.

I also co-own land with two of my sisters, my youngest brother, and my aunt on the reservation in Yuma, and got 30 acres of my own in northern AZ.

I just closed on 20 acres last month in Elko county here in NV. My next purchase is likely going to be in Colorado. I've been seeing some 5 acre lots out there for super cheap.

Well if black folk owned and controlled more shit than racism would be less of problem because less than reliant on whites, other races etc.
Do you think black folks can be racist? Just wondering.
I made this point and a nigga said I meant it ended racism.

people don’t get it.

right now too many black people got adapting to white culture ingrained in them to the point it comes natural.

got black men falling back in aggression andsome black womenswear not being their creative selves with their hair and clothes.

just saying

So it’s ok to have a house just don’t rent it out? Because that capitalistic and exploitive.

even if it helps house other black people who have a hard time finding housing or need emergency housing.

sounds about white

I often wonder if people that claim to be against capitalism and etc, are people salty cause they are on the losing side.
What form of economic system is there that's free of corrupt influence.
It seems like wishful thinking to believe some kind of kumbaya alternative is truly possible on its own.
We wouldn't need the laws we already have if that were true and even with that, there are still violations that happen.

Everything we wish black people understood about economics, white supremacy already knows.
What's to say we could switch to socialism, or whatever, yesterday and blacks folks would not be getting the short end of the stick, still.
So I doubt it matters what form of economics we are under. What matters is how we compete against others within it.

Whether it be owning property or whatever, blacks need to be a competitive force to be the masters of our destiny.
When it's black people vs everybody, racism not ending anytime soon, a dominating mindset may benefit us best in any scenario.
And I say this because it has clearly already worked for our enemies.
