Man there were plenty good times to be had at the rock. I aint been since the state took it over. I kinda hate that that happened.

One of my crew had an old Chevy LUV pickup truck back in high school. His pops owned something like 200-300 properties around Detroit and D used to drive the work crews around or did repairs at some of the properties himself after school. We used to call that shit The Flintstone Truck 'cause the floor in the footwell on both sides was completely rusted out so all you saw was the street if you looked down. D had a couple of pieces of metal just laying there so his feet wouldn't be dangling while he was driving.

Spring/Summer of '93 on 7 Mile late nights still, to this day, can't be touched. Butt naked hoes shakin' ass on the sidewalk or in the middle of the street, hoes choosin', music blastin and everybody having a good time. 7 mile from about Schafer to Southfield and a few times past that was live as fuck from about midnight until about 4-5am. Hit the liquor stoe for OGD 100 proof and Jolt Cola, head out to Jefferson, which got packed all the way to the Lodge at about 6-7pm, make your way to The Rock until hook kicked everybody off, cop some more drank, if it's too early we might hit a titty bar for an hour or so, cop some more drank and then head to 7 mile until the sun comes up.

I was given my first Escort, but the second one, the '83, I bought with my own money for $100 and the car was only 5 years old when I copped it. No mechanical issues at all, but it had been in a minor fender bender so the grill was smashed and the hood was bent. We took the hood off, stepped on it to get it back into place as best as we could and it was go-time.

96 Kia sportage. Got it for free cuz my grandpa sister died. Total piece of shit. Had under 100k miles and was a manual transmission, but besides that when I had it in 4 wheel drive only one tire would spin. I'd be getting stuck in parking lots lmao. Getting caught at a red light that was slightly uphill was the WOAT. Cant count the number of times people had to help me get up it lmfao.
