It's interesting seeing this play out. The writers are getting fucked over by streaming just like the musicians are.

Imagine if hop hop artists had a union and they went on strike until the streaming services paid them what theyre worth.

I hope the writers get paid but the shitty part is that the CEOs prolly aint gonna take any cuts. Any increases these writers get/negotiate are probably gonna get passed off onto the consumers

This thread is proof it's hard to make it in Hollywood. I don't see producers offer up their cut of the action especially with AI around. It made the need for a writers room obsolete and most of them don't even qualify for residuals. .
