No replacement writers, for the most part. Because most studios are contractually obligated to use WGA writers. There are a few that use non-WGA writers but it's rare these days. And some shows that are shot produced in other countries and use writers from that other country will be fine.

Outside of that, shit gets fucked up because everything stops. Shows literally STOP. Some shows will have episodes already filmed before the strike and will continue to show them until they're gone. But outside of what was already filmed before the strike, you bout to see a bunch of reruns on every network. And you'll see lots of shot that isn't scripted, like reality TV.

The good news is that this is coming at a good time. Because tv seasons for most popular shows run from sept/oct through may. So if your favorite show is on tv right now, chances are that most, if not all, of the episodes for this season are already filmed.

Bruh, you don't remember 07, early 08?

Whatever isn't already shot, will be stopped.

And if it's a broadcast show (NBC,Fox,ABC,CBS), that's week to week. It will eventually just be reruns.

What makes this different from 07, is streaming. Will the Netflixs' cave in, when some of their most watched content is shows that aired 20/30 years ago
