In addition to lobbying studios and streamers on behalf of SAG-AFTRA, Cruise is said to have asked the union to consider allowing actors to promote films during a strike given the fragile state of movie theaters and reminding his union that promotion matters to actors, too. It felt “uncomfortable,” says a source who was present.
 
I wouldnt be surprised if he was in the minority with regards to the promotions.. likely cuz he has more credits than just acting. Hes prolly a producer, stunt worker, has a say in some of the writing etc. He's prolly got a percentage of the money of his upcoming film as well
 
I know he really cares about getting people to the theater and people having a theater experience. He'll never be the guy to make a movie that goes straight to streaming
 
My coworker s daughter is studying film at DePaul University and basically thanks to this shit her graduation will be pushed at least a year cuz one of the requirements is that they need to do a semester of real production work…. So the kid just found an internship w a production in LA, just relocated to LA just for this to happen….

Shit crazy my brother just got unionized last year with the local crew workers union. It was already skimp for work in the region but now it’s all over
