You can tell who don't go to museums and shit

Niggas don't like shit that doesn't hold their hands to explain everything

I hate this wack shit. Why is it if don’t like something Kendrick do or some other woke shit, it’s always it wasnt for you or you didn’t get it/ it went over your head. It’s a celebrity selling you some shit.

I bet if you ask more than half these “woke” niggas what’s the difference between term and whole life insurance is, they gone be sitting with the stupid face.

Man, it was just a bad set list. It’s that simple. That performance should’ve been done at the Grammys. It would’ve been more appreciated and understood in that setting. Nigga didn’t read room at all. It’s the Super Bowl halftime show. Niggas wanna turn up and vibe. He didn’t provide that for the general audience until the last two songs. Save that revolutionary bullshit for your own tour. That shit was caca for a SB show. Niggas tune in to see a dead body not for Kendrick. If NLU was about Cole, we wouldn’t be here.

I agree with the bad set list part. Homie went up there and promoted his new project

Here you go using white supremacy dog whistles.

But I challenge you and others to actually try and expand your thinking about art and symbolisms within it. If you do that and still come out with, it's not for me, then you've at least educated yourself and decided it wasn't for you vs just off the rip "the shit ain't that deep" or " y'all glazing Kendrick" , etc..

Let's not lose sight that me personally, I'm not even a fan of the nigga but I have gained an appreciation for how he creates his art. I still don't like Mr morale. I listened to it, understood his mission and decided it wasn't for me. It's really not that hard

Art and symbolism is cool and all that but the superbowl aint the right venue for it. Its a football game. To me its that simple. This exact same performance done at the grammys or the pop out would be way different.

I agree 100% with the Mr Morale comments

I respectfully disagree

This to me is like saying you only can boycott if it's on a Tuesday cause the weekends are too inconvenient

Weekend was dressed like Teddy Perkins, no one knew why, no one cared, no one talked about it.

Kid Rock did an overly patriotic half time show, no one was offended. It was forgotten about in a week.

Kendrick does are revolution will be televised half time show with clear political imagery and expressed himself artistically and everyone loses their collective minds...

This is America

Here’s the thing. He coulda used better songs to help make his point as well.

“MAAA CITY”
“Blacker the berry”
“We gon be alright”
“Swimming pools”
“XXX” he coulda had U2 do that anti- USA bridge

Man at the garden, euphoria, peekaboo weren’t needed to get the social/political awareness message across. They were used to promote the new album/songs. Which is fine, it was a business decision.

He literally said he was trying to live in the present and not too much in the past which is why he went heavy with GNX joints

I think that's a bit too much of a deep dive, but I do think the political commentary satirical theme was at play. He wanted it to be more than just a bunch of songs, he wanted it to have substance and meaning. Which I think was accomplished. I didn't see the entire show as a petty diss. I think people with petty minds looking for the diss see it that way, cuz that's the validation the were looking for before the show even started. They wanted everything in the show to be about Drake. And that's a perspective, but I think there was way more thought involved in the production of the show.

I've said it before here but to me one of the worst and most disrespectful things to Kendrick to come out of this beef is people who've now retroactively made his entire career one long Drake diss
