This might get worse for Drake, cuz in order to see who hired bots for NLU, Drake would probably have to sue Kendrick as well.
This is the thing with the whole bots situation. Spotify has become very good at spotting who has bots on their songs and if you have a certain percentage of bots, they will take your music down or they will charge you to keep it up if it’s not above the restricted percentage of bots allowed.

Also, a song can be botted by being placed on a playlist that has bots on it without them even wanting it to be on that playlist.

Meg thee stallion got her music taken down for bots whether on purpose or not.

Also there are flaws in the system where songs can be falsely accused, but for the most part they wouldn’t let an artist get the kind of numbers k dot got and not take it down because Spotify doesn’t want to pay you for fake streams out of their pocket .

TLDR Spotify wouldn’t let k dot or anybody get that many fake streams off without taking their music down.

But like in that Rory video it’s not just fake streams he’s accusing them of it’s that the label lowered the license fee so that Spotify would get a higher percentage of the money to push Kendrick’s Music.

Idk if that’s true,or if he has evidence, but who said you couldn’t do that? How is that illegal or whatever?

In the words of Dave Chappelle “ I didn’t know I couldn’t do that”

We are like a couple of pleadings from Drake alleging that UMG incentivized Kendrick to diss him on Like That thus initiating this chain of events for the sole purpose of de valuing Drake during these contract negotiations

:hahaha:
Cal bout to sue Lux

“ Your honor there was 6 bitches in that pool and I love my father”

If what Drake is alleging turns out to be true, would you still say this was a bad move?

Yes and no. Yes because it does reframe the popularity if NLU and goes against this image people have placed on Kendrick of him being anti everything corporate when it comes to hip hop. No because as has been said Draks has also most likely benefited from the same practices.

Ehhh idk I don’t think artists are meeting w the label to discuss hiring bot farms and also if such practices are prevalent why do 98% of artists flopping

lol Yes. Exposing the bullshit in a new diss track is Hip Hop. Running to the court yelling "I'm telling!" ain't Hip Hop.

I mean the core of his case is that Not Like Us is hurting his career. What does he think suing is going to do. You got to have a heart that pumps maple syrup to cosign this move.

The core he's trying to prove is that UMG boosted NLU to lower Drake's value while he negotiating a new deal. And if they did do that along with lowering the percentage value of the stream then that is fucked up. But Drake ain't a sympathetic figure so ain't nobody gonna care if that shit was used against him.

I don't think there's meetings either. I think the labels don't it and artist are aware of it but don't say shit unless it affects their sales compared to someone they don't like.

Right these are major artists not no nigga scrambling up pay checks to drop his album through select o hits or cd baby.

They have ppl who do administration .He probably wouldn’t know how to put a song up himself let alone be on cahoots about fake streams or side deals with the label.
