Where were you when...

I was sleep in 2nd period when 9/11 happened

Teacher bust in the room and we put on the tv and I went back sleep lol.
 
I think i was at work when Farah Fawcett died. I remember being like "who tf is farah fawcett? Oh damn, she was hot... Anal Cancer?! Whaaaaaaat?!"

10th grade. Principal came over the intercom and mentioning some terrorist attack. Teacher stopped class and turned the news on. Watched the 2nd plane hit. That was crazy.

Had a real peaceful Sunday.. The day before I was telling my sister bout Nipsey Hussle being the most influential rapper in my opinion. Showed her the racks in the middle video. Next day she text me with the crying emoji saying Nipsey was dead. I didn't wanna believe it. I came here first and the reports hadn't confirmed death yet. Of course, we know the outcome.. Shit ruined my day

I got a text from my bro-in-law with a link to TMZ about Kobe dying so of course I didn't believe it. Once it popped up on the major outlets, I knew it was real. It took about an hour for that to happen and I truly didn't believe it until then. Barely believed it even at that point.

9/11 I was driving to college campusbfor my first class and there were murmurings but people ain't really know all that happened. Went back to the apartment and that's when I got the full story. I remember it being a beautiful day out though.
 
Woke up early and hit up BET when they actually played videos and it went across the screen that Biggie had been killed.

aside from those the one I recall was 9/11....my mama's car broke down that morning and we were waiting in front of a walgreens for my granddad to come help

heard some of it on the radio but by the time I got to school every class was dead silent with the tv on and folks were crying....i dont think we did shit that day but watch the news

When Kobe died I was at our community center getting the hall cleaned up by myself for a funeral service we were about to have. I go to take a break and jump on Twitter and all I see is people talking about Kobe. The Kobe one hurt the most out of all the celebs with him being my favorite player and then he died when we’re mourning a friend who got murdered.

I remember when Aaliyah died. I found out at like 1:30 am watching mtv. It was shown as breaking news at the bottom of the screen

We threw our first club party of the year the night Aaliyah died. DJ cut the music and came on the mic and announced it. We took a knee and a moment of silence in the middle of a packed club with about a thousand people in the middle of the hood. Everyone showed respect.
 
Was outside playing when my sis came out n told me about Pac (10 yrs old)

Oddly don't remember hearing about BIG i do remember hearing the Puff tribute song for the first time

I was downloading music on limewire when I heard about stack bundles (I think thru the IC)

Was at school when 9/11 happened

Was enjoying Sunday evening bbq with my daughter at my parents house when I heard about nipsey

Was at home when I heard about kobe pretty sure I heard about it on abw first

Was in nyc wrapping up my trip when I heard about chadwick boseman

Won't even lie I shed some tears when I heard about kobe.

I was supposed to protect pac that night

But I looked down to tie my shoes, looked up and niggas was gone

@T. Sanford they need to give us some shine on the next who killed pac doc

Can't remember pac but I remember it being all over hard copy from the monday after school and then for like a week and watching it with the fam not really knowing much about what was happening.

Biggie was visiting my sister in Montreal for March break. It was all over the radio while we were driving out there. At that point I was a little more familiar biggie's music cause he was killing the singles. And a lil familiar with the beef because of pac already getting killed. I was only 11 tho.
