Thing about forgiveness is, from my perspective, you should only forgive someone if they genuinely ask for forgiveness.........if they acknowledge what they did wrong.......if they show genuine remorse for what they did.........and if they make a sincere attempt to make amends for what they did.


If the brother is looking for all of those signs......and if all the sisters are doing is asking for money........and not showing any remorse or regret for how they treated their father...........then the brother shouldn't give them any money at all.

IT depends on the offense to me. Sometimes when the person did the dirt, they are too ashamed to face the one they hurt.

In this thread, they were all kids when the divorce happened. He was 17 and the the sisters were I think 13 and 15. It seems like he really wants his family back and not have to live with hate in his heart. If he shows action, it is possible for the sisters to replicate the same energy.

Man fuck that, you know right from wrong when you're 13 and 15, it's not like they were the 2 and 3, you like Brad the step-dad, plus (this is my story and my thinking) the mom prolly got a big settlement in the divorce decree, got the house, the family van or some shit, she got a nice chunk of change in alimony or some shit. I refuse to believe that the mom aint walk away with nothing even though her ass cheated, They need to change this shit for real, and not to mention, the mom maybe been bad mouthing the dad in front of the daughters, indirectly, being disrespectful to the man and all prolly, Women be on that tip when they got a new man and new money.

Step-dad prolly was making more money, had to be, I don't think she's leaving the husband to be with a bum. Brad prolly drove a Benz or some shit.

Po man had to go back to a 1 bed apartment with the son, eating potatoes and beans, chicken steak chicken for dinner or whatever the whites eat for meals. Stove Topping shit lol

Fuck them sisters man, couldn't be me, I'd let them chicks know how wrong they did dad, make it sting, but telling it like it is.

Better for me to do than the most high lol.

The other man was making more at the time. Bought the girls gifts. The father wasn't doing as well at that time. He started making money later in life.

You wouldn't be wrong in how you felt. Some people don't want to live with hate in their heart. He wouldn't be wrong in how the brother felt

I don't even know if he really cares that much about getting his family back. I think he just acknowledges that they are his sisters and feels like he should give them something regardless of what happened. He's just conflicted because he doesn't believe that's what his father would want.

He seems to have accepted that his sisters don't really want anything real from him besides help when he's able to offer it.

Possible, but.........from everything I've heard about this story........they don't seem like the type.

They only seem to care about the money.

The sisters knew the mom was cheating and never said anything not even to their brother. Dude was buying them things so they kept quiet.

His father was devastated, turned to alcohol for some years then built himself back up. The daughters came a few years later asking him to pay for school, he said no. Along the way when the daughters had kids he tried to reconnect and heal the wounds, meet his grandkids but the daughters refused. The brother seen all that and he wants to forgive and be a family again but he's mad conflicted because of how he watched his dad suffer with all that over the years. And according to him he was a good dad, always present and showing love.

Thats why when you said "be a better man" I was like wtf. Sounds like his pops was a great father.

Imo he needs to sit down with them and get everything he's resentful about off his heart. Let their actions in response decide the rest.

Or just dead it and cease contact.

If he just gives them the money and they tell him to fuck off after he'll never forgive himself for not at least getting all that off his heart.
