This. How is it Pain's fault that artists basically abandoned trying to make unique music and hopped on whatever trend was popular. It's not like T-Pain invented voice modulation. Zapp and Roger were doing that back in the 80s. It's just that every Prince, MJ, New Edition, Luther Vandross, etc... didn't hear it and decide to do it too.

But honestly it isn't T-Pain's fault everybody jumped on his wave. Record executives influencing artist to copy his style and artist being too afraid to be themselves is the real issue.

I don't. Seemed mad disrespectful and completely out of the blue. It's not even like Usher was put on the spot in an interview or they were talkin' about music and Usher said it.

It's like sayin' his wife is ugly, it may be his opinion but like why say it???
