COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

No my point is what does it have to do with what we talking about?
You said Obama was establishment and people fell for his campaign and you say that led to the disdain and distrust of the Democratic Party.

I don’t think a lot of people see it that way. I think a lot of people love Obama and don’t blame him for their distrust of dems now. There’s been a lot of other bullshit the dems have pulled since he left office that have led to people’s current view of the dem party.

Obama wasn’t perfect, but he was a million miles better than Bush, Trump, and Biden. People need to grade these presidents on a curve cause none of them getting an A, to my expecting perfection point.

Well yea he campaigned on change and just continued delivering status quo

I think a lot of people are still unwilling to make the connection. The fact that Trump became so popular for shitting on the establishment at the expense of decorum is proof that while Obama made ppl feel comfortable, they were still unhappy with the current state. Yes I know this is just my opinion.

Ok, I agree Obama was better than all of them. I also liked Clinton. But he partially repealed glass steagull which contributed to the 2008 financial crisis. Just bc I like them, doesn't negate these facts.
