I am surprised the OP didn't mention The Wire like most people. I got crucified in GnS once for saying The Wire was just "okay".

Anyone thinks Spartacus is worthy of consideration?

What about Sons of Anarchy?

Although it was a bit unrealistic at times, I did like the following facts:
  • Didn't force motorcycle jargon down our throats like Fast and Furious does with cars
  • Showed the family aspect of Motorcycle Clubs (MCs)
  • Covered the race relation aspect when it comes to MCs and prison
  • Had interesting plots
  • Ending was sad
I can't think of anything else at the moment. Be right back.

  • Breaking Bad - Seen bits and pieces, but the plot is unique and fresh. That is a big plus to me.

Honestly the wire only had 3 hot seasons. Its a great show, put it aint top 5

How you guys feel about Shameless and Dexter?

I am just thinking of suggestions out here so we don't get the same list over and over again.

Stopped watching Shameless for whatever reason, but it was an entertaining, white trash show.

Watched Dexter for a season or two, but it was different and had suspense. Shit had like 7 seasons in this age of TV, so it had to be good.

Same with the books....

They obviously decided to go in different directions cuz no one knew what to do with his character....it's a shame cuz he was a great character
