And that's true: SONICALLY you can't. Everything was different between those eras. In the 70's and early 80's you had live instrumentation, in the late 80's you had samplers, a shitton of synths, sequencers to lock it all together, advances in recording equipment including digital effects units, better dynamics processing, and far more advanced physical recorders.
So what I stated stands 100% accurate: SONICALLY you can't compare the two eras. The
sound of those eras is so different it ain't even funny. Which, of course, lends itself to the techniques used by musicians, engineers, and producers.
You moved the goalposts twice already: First by asking for 5 classic QJ albums. I gave you 5 chart topping and Grammy winning albums he produced after which you moved the goalposts talmbout are they "better" than Bobby, Babyface, and 'nem's albums, to which I replied that "better is subjective" and likened your new question to asking which is better between a Cardi B joint and an EPMD track. The answer to that would be dependent on your own tastes molded by the era of music you grew up in (hence, it being subjective). I wouldn't expect a person that came up in the 80's to pick albums from the 70's as being better than the hottest shit out when they were growing up which means that your question of "better than Bobby Brown..." was intellectually dishonest from jump or, better yet, plain trolling.
