Well no, half the country was against the Iraq War. Let's not rewrite history. There's a reason Bush pulled back the weapons inpesctors, they had been openly talking about how they didn't find any WMDs, and the hawks pushed it quickly

I am talking about Congress dude. And Colin said he was misled. Read up a little.
 
The only folks mad at this are the natsec pundit class who got ties to their racket is ending.

I can’t stand Biden but it’s best for him to tear the bandaid off since this war was lost years ago. Bush wouldn’t do it for obvious reasons and Obama and Trump didn’t do it because of their egos.

I was an adult when all this happened fam, I don't need to "read up a little". And you keeping saying "Colin said", as if that dude has credibility. He sat there and did Bush's bidding.

And Biden was in Congress and on the Security committee. He was one who helped push Dems to support the war.

Dude, I don't care who did what. I just hope all the troops and support elements come home from that place. Doesn't matter how it started.
 
This is a bad sign of things to come.


It's not about the Taliban taking over Afghanistan though.


That was bound to happen as soon as we pulled our troops out.


The main reason why we're leaving?


We simply can't afford to be over there anymore.


Not in terms of it being a no-win situation, but in terms of us not being able to afford it financially.


Too many people out of work......not enough tax revenue coming in........too much money being printed to justify the lack of tax revenue.


Then again, this could be a good thing if we're more careful about how we spend our money.


Hopefully we pull back on our support for the fake Israeli state as well.
 
I wonder how much effect this is going to have on the job market since vets get preferential treatment for gov't jobs. I'm not sure about how that works with private industry
