Yes. In a number of ways

It matters from a counter intelligence perspective.

If he is compromised by a foreign entity (for whatever reason) that impacts the integrity of his ability to govern our country impartially. This was an aspect of Muller’s investigation inaccessible to the public.

If he has committed crimes while campaigning or in relation to campaigning, he is of course culpable for those crimes.

If he committed crimes under American jurisdiction, prior to his political career, he is of course culpable for any and all of those crimes after he leaves office; should an Attorney choose pursue them.

Chao Paved Way For Husband To Get Funds For Special KY Projects Before 2020

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao cleared the path for projects that would specifically benefit Kentucky and thus, her husband Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) ahead of his 2020 reelection bid.

According to Politico, these arranged grants ultimately topped $78 million.

Chao assigned her aide Todd Inman to be the special liaison for Kentucky projects, a perk that other states did not enjoy and which helped channel money and attention into the Bluegrass state.

McConnell has been able to use approved projects to tout his ability to bring money and resources into the state, bolstering his image locally before his run.

In a rare moment of self-awareness, President Donald Trump admitted on Saturday night that “it is not at all ‘Presidential'” to constantly attack the media.

“I know it is not at all ‘Presidential’ to hit back at the Corrupt Media, or people who work for the Corrupt Media, when they make false statements about me or the Trump Administration,” Trump tweeted. “Problem is, if you don’t hit back, people believe the Fake News is true.”



The tweet came after Trump went off on a rant about MSNBC’s “Saturday Night Politics” host Donny Deutsch, who called Trump a “despicable human being” for attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on D-Day.

“Little @ DonnyDeutsch, whose show, like his previous shoebiz tries, is a disaster, has been saying that I had been a friend of his,” Trump tweeted. “This is false.”



Trump also ranted against the New York Times on Sunday after they reportedthat most of what Trump got Mexico to agree to was offered months before his threat to slap tariffs on Mexican imports.

According to the Guardian, the money has been filtered through a Goldman Sachs vehicle in the Cayman Islands, thus lending a shroud of secrecy to the investors.

Kushner once ran into tangles with his security clearance, ultimately reportedly getting okayed with President Donald Trump’s interference, in part due to his business ties and foreign entanglements.

Pompeo’s Solution To Dealing With Climate Change: ‘Move To Different Places’

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s got a solution to avoiding the harms of climate change: Just live somewhere else.

Pompeo gave an interview to the Washington Times on Friday, during which he addressed the Trump administration’s approach to combating global warming.

The top diplomat claimed that the climate “always changes,” and so “societies reorganize, we move to different places, we develop technology and innovation.”

Pompeo also suggested that the risks of climate change wouldn’t be so bad anyway.

“If waters rise — I was just in the Netherlands, all below sea level, right?” Pompeo said. “Living a wonderful, thriving economic situation.”

“The world will be successful. I’m convinced,” he continued. “We will figure out responses to this that address these issues in important and fundamental ways.”

In May, Pompeo praised rising sea levels caused by climate change as a boon for trade opportunities.

“Steady reductions in sea ice are opening new passageways and new opportunities for trade,” Pompeo said during a speech at an international summit on environmental protection. “This could potentially slash the time it takes to travel between Asia and the West by as much as 20 days.”

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) hasn’t yet wormed his way back onto any of his congressional committees — so he’s using his free time to introduce the “Diamond and Silk Act.”

Trump Is Too Distracted By The Crisis Du Jour To Care About His Reelection

President Trump doesn’t care about coming up with a new slogan for his 2020 reelection campaign, is tired of traveling so much and is consistently focused on the crisis of the moment instead of his reelection bid, The New York Times reported.


During a recent all-hands meeting about the state of the race in Florida with his campaign manager, Trump was visibly distracted, people familiar with the meeting told the Times. He only wanted to hear about his approval numbers, the songs on his campaign playlist and having final approval over his campaign merchandise, according to the Times. He hasn’t even asked to see his 2020 budget.

Trump is also reportedly fixated on Democratic challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden, telling aides to publicly deny any polling that shows him falling behind the former Veep in key states. He’s specifically instructed aides to say that “other data showed him doing well,” in the Times words.

Trump has also been spending his evenings calling former advisers to talk shop about 2020, but mostly to insult Biden, whom he describes as “too old” and “not as popular as people think.”

WSJ: Kim Jong Un’s Murdered Half Brother Was A CIA Source

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s half brother, who was murdered in an airport in Malaysia in 2017, was a CIA source, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Kim Jong Nam reportedly met with agency operatives multiple times. He was on the way to meet one of them when two women smeared a nerve agent in his face, killing him.

After his murder, North Korean dissidents rushed his son, Kim Han Sol, and other family members out of Macau and into hiding, where they remain.

It is unclear the caliber of information Kim Jong Nam could share with American intelligence, as he lived outside of North Korea in exile and had fallen from his father’s favor in the early 2000s.
