Trump Reportedly Plans on Declassifying Bruce Ohr and Carter Page Documents

President Donald Trump is reportedly planning on declassifying Carter Pageand Bruce Ohr documents, according to an Axios report on Sunday.

Axios’ Jonathan Swan and Lauren Meier report:

President Trump is expected to declassify, as early as this week, documents covering the U.S. government’s surveillance of Trump campaign adviser Carter Page and the investigative activities of senior Justice Department lawyer Bruce Ohr, according to allies of the president.

Both Congressional Republicans and Trump himself have been hyping the documents as damning evidence that the Department of Justice and FBI acted inappropriately, essentially tainting the Trump-Russia investigation.

Ohr has been accused by the Congressional Republicans and Trump of acting as a go-between for Justice Department, British spy Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS.

Page was allegedly the victim of illegal spying by the Obama administration aimed at taking down Trump.

House Freedom Caucus chairman Mark Meadows told Axios that the declassification is a big deal.

“After two years of investigations and accusations from both sides of the aisle about what documents indicate, it is past time for documents to be declassified and let the American people decide for themselves if DoJ and FBI acted properly,” he said.

It is unclear how much, at this point, the claims made about Ohr and Page will be supported in the documents.

Roger Stone Calls on Trump to Fire ‘Insubordinate Hillbilly’ Jeff Sessions

Roger Stone does not have kind words when it comes to “Keebler elf” Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

In fact, he thinks President Donald Trump should fire the “insubordinate hillbilly” from Alabama.

Stone made the remarks during a far-right gathering in Washington dubbed the “Mother of All Rallies” (MOAR) on Saturday, according to HuffPo.

it is unclear how many people from the south or otherwise unappreciative of the hillbilly crack were in the audience at the time but his remarks did not get a hugely enthusiastic response.

It is also not the only time Stone has attacked Sessions.

Back in January, Stone told TMZ Trump should fire Sessions because he was “f*cking up” by cracking down on marijuana.

The newest intelligence shows Kim’s regime has escalated efforts to conceal its nuclear activity, according to three senior U.S. officials. During the three months since the historic Singapore summit and Trump’s proclamation that North Korea intends to denuclearize, North Korea has built structures to obscure the entrance to at least one warhead storage facility, according to the officials.

U.S. intelligence assesses North Korea could produce five to eight new nuclear weapons in 2018, according to three current and former senior U.S. officials. That pace is virtually identical to their assessment of the regime’s production of about six per year prior to the Trump-Kim summit.

It Has Been 19 Days Since The Last ‘Daily’ White House Press Briefing
Kate Riga

It has been 19 days since the last time Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took reporters’ questions for the “daily” White House press briefing, as an ABC reporter noted.

According to an ABC report, Sanders spent a combined three hours and 58 minutes behind the podium during 13 appearances for the entirety of June, July and August.

For perspective, per ABC: Obama administration press secretary Josh Earnest and his deputy totaled 39 hours across 35 on-camera press briefings during the summer of 2016. Bush spokespeople totaled nine hours and 24 minutes across 32 press briefings during the summer of 2008, per ABC.

Trump Admin Will Shutter Palestine Liberation Office In D.C.

The Trump administration plans to announce on Monday that it is shutting down the Palestine Liberation Organization’s office in Washington, D.C., another sign of U.S. support for Israel and a move that furthers a pressure crusade against Palestine, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday morning.

“The United States will always stand with our friend and ally, Israel,” national security adviser John Bolton is expected to say in a speech on Monday, according to a transcript of the prepared remarks obtained by WSJ. “The Trump administration will not keep the office open when the Palestinians refuse to take steps to start direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel.”

Stephen Miller’s Childhood Rabbi Rebukes Trump Aide In Rosh Hashanah Sermon

Trump adviser Stephen Miller’s childhood rabbi eviscerated him and his role in President Trump’s anti-immigrant policies, like the administration’s family separation policy, during a Rosh Hashanah sermon Monday, the Guardian reported.

Miller, Rabbi Neil Comess-Daniels of Beth Shir Shalom said, had spread “negativity, violence, malice and brutality.”

“Honestly, Mr. Miller, you’ve set back the Jewish contribution to making the world spiritually whole through your arbitrary division of these desperate people,” Comess-Daniels said, per the Guardian. “The actions that you now encourage President Trump to take make it obvious to me that you didn’t get my, or our, Jewish message.”

The rabbi assured his congregation “that what I taught [Miller] is a Judaism that cherishes, wisdom, values … wide horizons and an even wider embrace … [Separating families] is completely antithetical to everything I know about Judaism, Jewish law and Jewish values.”

“In a free society, some are guilty, all are responsible,” he added. “Because we want this society to remain free, we will continue to act.”

Trump Lied About 9/11 Donations, Took $150K From Recovery Program

President Trump called on America to honor the fallen from 9/11 by fighting for freedom: “We honor their sacrifice by pledging to never flinch in the face of evil and to do whatever it takes to keep America safe,” he intoned during a ceremony at the crash site for Flight 93.

But in the immediate wake of the 9/11 attacks the president didn’t respond so selflessly, taking money from a program meant to help small businesses while lying about donating to help the attacks’ victims.

Trump, then a local business mogul with a major building just blocks from the twin towers, implied he had made a $10,000 donation to the Twin Towers Fund, a charity set up by New York City to benefit the terrorists’ victims and their families.

But that wasn’t true, according to a review of documents conducted by New York City’s comptroller at the request of the New York Daily News in 2016.

Trump’s company also tapped into a program designed to help small businesses in lower Manhattan stay afloat in the wake of the attacks, receiving $150,000 in state grants.

When that was exposed, Trump claimed he’d taken that money as repayment for taking in local businesses at his 40 Wall Street building near the attack site.

“It was probably a reimbursement for the fact that I allowed people, for many months, to stay in the building, use the building and store things in the building,” Trump told Time magazine in 2016.

“I was happy to do it, and to this day I am still being thanked for the many people I helped. The value of what I did was far greater than the money talked about, much of which was sent automatically to building owners in the area.”

But records from the Empire State Development Corporation, which administered the recovery program, show that Trump’s company asked for those funds for “rent loss,” “cleanup” and “repair” — not to recuperate money lost in helping people.

The Daily News reported on this as well in 2016.

Trump’s comments following the attacks have also drawn past scrutiny.

Immediately after the 9/11 attacks, Trump incorrectly claimed that his 40 Wall Street building was the tallest in the city following the fall of the twin towers — comments many took as bragging about his own building.

“40 Wall street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually before the World Trade Center the tallest, and and then when they built the World Trade Center it became known as the second-tallest, and now it’s the tallest And I just spoke to my people, and they said it’s the most unbelievable sight,” he said.
