Think so? Wouldn't any charges against him still stand even if he did resign? Unless Pence pardons him after

Yeah the charges will still stick but the percentage of him being charged while in office is less than 1%. He's old, unhealthy, and not smart. I wouldn't rule out him resigning and then fleeing. Yes that sounds crazy but so does all of this shit.

No he won't.

Yes he will. Everything about Trump points to his bitch ass resigning and blaming all of this on someone else and trying to get away scott free. It won't work because Trump will either end up dead or in jail in the next 2 years tops.

Only way I see that happening is if the Dems tak back control of the house and Senate.

They're either gonna give him the option to resign, or impeach.

They won't have to give them the option to resign. He'll make the decision an easy one. Of you listen to him since the Cohen and Manafort verdict he's scared. Plus the only people close to him who haven't been charged with a crime yet or flipped on him are his kids and Melania so.........ya his bitch ass is resigning.

What about Trump gives people the impression that he's anything more than a coward who can't take the heat?

Need any more proof that Trump is becoming unhinged at a faster rate? Look at this completely useless video hit that's full of lies and filler talk. He just put this video out less than 5 minutes ago while all this news is breaking. His last line was "We're having a lot of fun" Really muthafucka?

As long as he got his supporters...he feels he's still good. That's why he and his GOP subordinates are trying to push that "fake news" narrative. They know his supporters are just that dumb enough to believe ANY facts presented, are tainted in their eyes.

The nail in the coffin would be Mueller droppin that sledgehammer of actual evidence against him.

U can’t indict a sitting president ....if he resigns or is impeached then the indictments will follow but precedent shows that the next president is sure to pardon the outgoing on like homie did Nixon

To Avoid Nasty Debate, Prison And Sentencing Reform Pushed Until After Midterms

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump and Senate leaders agreed Thursday to hold off on compromise criminal justice reform legislation until after the midterm elections.

The delay is intended to head off a nasty debate in the lead-up to the midterms and give supporters more time to hash out details and rally support.

The agreement was reached during a series of meetings on Capitol Hill and at the White House, where Trump met with top aides, including Attorney General Jeff Sessions, to discuss the proposals, which include prison reform measures aimed at reducing recidivism as well as sentencing reform measures that would affect policies like mandatory minimum sentencing.

The meeting came as the simmering rift between Trump and Sessions exploded again into public view, with Trump saying in a TV interview that Sessions “never took control of the Justice Department” and Sessions issuing a statement saying he and the DOJ “will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.”

Trump has been livid with Sessions since he recused himself from the investigation into Russian election interference.

Nevertheless, the dispute did not come up during the meeting, according to two people familiar with the conversation who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the private conversation.

A senior administration official said the president is on board with the prison reform proposals but raised concerns in the meeting about taking on more controversial sentencing reform issues.

Conservatives like Sessions and Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., have for years staunchly opposed sentencing reform efforts, with Cotton blasting the latest proposal as a “jailbreak” that would “let serious felons back on the streets.”

The president is wary of supporting any policy that would leave him open to charges that he’s “soft on crime,” but appeared open-minded to the framework and seemed on board with each of the specific proposals included the plan, said the senior administration official, who was not authorized to discuss the conversation.

Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores appeared to dispute the characterization that Trump was open to sentencing reform.

“We’re pleased the President agreed that we shouldn’t support criminal justice reform that would reduce sentences, put drug traffickers back on our streets, and undermine our law enforcement officers who are working night and day to reduce violent crime and drug trafficking in the middle of an opioid crisis,” she said in a statement.

White House spokesman Hogan Gidley said Trump “remains committed to meaningful prison reform and will continue working with the Senate on their proposed additions to the bill.”

Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, who has been leading the White House’s criminal justice reform efforts, also traveled to Capitol Hill, where he met with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Senate leaders, including John Cornyn, Mike Lee and Chuck Grassley. The president joined a second meeting by phone.

During the discussions, McConnell told the group that he was willing to allow a formal whip count on the proposal to gauge support — but only after the fall elections.

Ames Grawert, senior counsel with the New York City-based Brennan Center’s Justice Program, criticized the delay on reform legislation, saying people continue to suffer from unfair sentencing laws.

“Progress is being stalled for the sake of politics, and it’s not right,” he said. “In a divided time, broad criminal justice reform remains overwhelmingly popular, and today the White House squandered an opportunity to get something meaningful done.”

Trump Administration Purposely Overloading Vetting Process For Admitting Refugees

President Donald Trump’s administration has enacted new policies that are purposely stalling the FBI’s process of vetting refugees for admission to the United States, NBC News reported Friday.

According to former White House officials who spoke to NBC, the administration is overburdening the FBI with a variety of new procedures that have slowed down the admissions process for refugees. An administration official told NBC that the new procedures require the FBI to check additional databases to “weed out any potential terrorists,” in NBC’s words.

The administration has already intentionally halved the number of refugees its allowing into the United States in 2018, an effort largely led by White House aide Stephen Miller. The U.S. admitted 45,000 last year and is set to approve just 20,000 to 21,000 this year.

While the FBI told NBC that it is taking the “necessary time to thoroughly review” all applicants, former administration officials told NBC that the bureau is only able to vet a “handful of cases” a day.

Education Dept. Proposals On Guns In Schools Sparks Outcry

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Education Department says it is weighing whether to allow states to use federal funds to purchase guns for schools, prompting a storm of criticism from Democratic lawmakers and educators.

If approved, the plan would likely generate a lot of controversy at a time when a string of especially deadly school shootings earlier this year led to the rise of a powerful student-led gun control movement.

A senior Trump administration official told The Associated Press on Thursday that the agency is reviewing legislation governing federal academic enrichment grants to see if the money can be used to buy firearms.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss the issue publicly, said the bipartisan Every Student Success Act, passed in 2015, does not expressly prohibit or allow the use of Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grants for the purchase of firearms. The official said the agency received several letters asking it to clarify what those funds could be used for and began researching the issue.

Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, who chairs a federal commission on school safety, has previously said that schools should have the option to arm teachers. The commission, formed in the aftermath of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that killed 17 people, has been criticized for omitting the topic of gun control.

The plan, first reported by The New York Times, prompted swift condemnation from Democratic lawmakers and many educators on Thursday, who accused the Trump administration of wanting to deprive students of much-needed mental health support and other resources in the interests of the National Rifle Association.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called the idea “one of the most egregious, short-sighted and dangerous executive branch abuses of our education system in modern history.”

“Secretary DeVos continues to lead an anti-student and anti-teacher campaign on behalf of special interests and the NRA that rejects proven and effective initiatives to ensure a safe, welcoming school climate for children,” she said.

Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, which was the site of the Sandy Hook school shooting, swiftly introduced an amendment that would block the Education Department from using the funds to arm schools.

“The Secretary of Education cares more about the firearms industry’s bottom line than the safety of our kids, and that should scare parents to death,” he said.

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, accused DeVos of trying “to do the bidding of the National Rifle Association and gun manufacturers.”

“Instead of after-school programs or counselors, programs that are critical for creating safe and welcoming schools and addressing the mental health needs of kids, DeVos wants to turn schools into armed fortresses and make kids and educators less safe,” Weingarten said in a statement.

“She wants to turn the U.S. government into an arms dealer for schools. That’s insane,” she added.

Martin West, professor of education at Harvard University, expressed skepticism.

“It seems very hard to imagine that members of Congress drafting Title IV envisioned that the funds would be used to arm teachers,” West said.

One of the requests for clarification came from Texas, where many school districts allow staff to carry weapons on campus. The Texas Education Agency said in a statement Thursday that it asked Washington for guidance in April after schools started asking whether they can use the grant money to cover the cost of guns. The problem took on even greater urgency in Texas after 10 people were killed in a school shooting outside Houston in May.

Georgia Officials Scrap Plan To Cut Most Polling Places In Majority Black County

CUTHBERT, Ga. (AP) — Election officials in a majority black Georgia county voted Friday to scrap a widely condemned proposal to eliminate most of their polling places.

The elections board in Randolph County said concern about the proposal to close seven of nine voting locations in the rural county was “overwhelming,” and is “an encouraging reminder that protecting the right to vote remains a fundamental American principle.”

Black voters said they’d be disenfranchised by the plan to shutter the voting locations, which were just used in this year’s primaries.

An independent consultant recommended their closure because they don’t comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The county fired that consultant on Thursday.

Opponents questioned why a county would make it harder to vote during the hotly contested race for governor. Georgia’s top elections official, Republican Brian Kemp, is running against Democrat Stacey Abrams, who would become Georgia’s first black governor. Both said they oppose the plan.

The polling places in question had all been used for the primary election in May and the primary runoff election in July, and officials should have been aware of ADA compliance issues. Randolph County and the Department of Justice entered a settlement agreement in 2012 promising to fix the violations in three years. The settlement specifically included a section on polling place compliance. Aside from a grant used to fix issues in the courthouse, the updates didn’t happen, county attorney Tommy Coleman said.

Civil rights groups had protested the plan. The circumstances surrounding the proposal leave “a reasonable observer to wonder whether the real motive behind these closures is indeed to make it harder for African Americans to cast a ballot,” American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia attorney Sean Young said in a letter sent to county officials Aug. 14.

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the ACLU of Georgia sent a joint letter Wednesday to election officials in all 159 Georgia counties, urging them to avoid polling place changes that could disenfranchise voters.

Majority-Black Georgia County Blocks Proposal To Shutter Most Of Its Polling Sites

A Georgia county’s board of elections on Friday voted down a proposal to shutter seven of its nine polling sites over concerns that doing so would disenfranchise the area’s majority-black population.

Local station WALB reported that this decision was made seconds into a Friday morning meeting.

The proposal was originally made by independent elections consultant Michael Malone, who was hired to help the rural county save costs. It drew national criticism given the likely challenges it would impose on the county’s mostly black voters, who would need to travel long distances to get to the polls on Election Day. Several civil rights groups threatened to sue if the changes were approved.

The county was unable to produce documents supporting its claims that the polling sites were inaccessible to disabled people, and Malone was fired Thursday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In a statement, the board said that the proposal was only under consideration because of a “decline in population and consequently, a decline in the county tax base.”

Calling the right to vote “sacred,” the board said it decided not to close the polling sites thanks to the public outcry over the recommendation.

“The interest and concern shown has been overwhelming, and it is an encouraging reminder that protecting the right to vote remains a fundamental American principle,” the statement read.

Yeah but the thing with this is Trump supports are not as vast as people are making them seen. When people speak of Trump supporters they talk about them like they're the majority. They're not. Trump supporters aren't even the majority of the Republican party. His base isn't getting larger and the more bad shit that comes out and with people starting to flip and save themselves, we'll see soon that his base has cracks.

it policy not law..

If he's more likely NOT to be indicted while being president.. why would he resign and give up that "protection" unless he's guaranteed to be pardoned by Pence... The way this investigation is going.. I wouldnt be surprised one bit they found some dirt on Pence as well.

The way I see it, being the president is the only thing keeping dude safe right now
