MS-13 was founded in America. This country created the gang problem that Hondurans, Guatelamans and Salvadorans are trying to escape from when those psychopaths would get deported. They showed the kids in those countries and it spread. Mexico, it's cartel violence. Nicaragua is a war zone because the president/dictator is killing anyone anyone who's against him

Hank Aaron Says He Wouldn't Go to the White House Today If He Won a Championship

Hall of Famer Hank Aaron said he would not go to the White House if he were on a championship-winning team today.

When asked about the subject on Friday at the "Hank Aaron Champion for Justice Awards" in Atlanta, Aaron said he supports athletes not wanting to visit it.

"There’s nobody there I want to see," Aaron told The Atlanta-Journal Constitution. “I can understand where the players are coming from. I really do. I understand they have their own issues and things they feel conviction about. They have a right to that, and I probably would be the same way, there’s no question about it.”

Aaron's comments come just weeks after the Eagles were disinvited from the White House by President Trump. Shortly after that, LeBron James and Steph Curry stated that they would not attend a White House visit if either of their teams won the NBA Finals. The Warriors were also disinvited from the White House after winning the 2017 title.

Aaron, a 25-time All-Star who hit 755 career home runs, acknowledged the impact athletes can have and said he could have done more during his career.

"To be honest, I feel somewhat guilty that I didn’t do possibly as much as I could have done," Aaron said. "We didn’t get to where we are today because we kept our mouth closed or scratched our head and sat and didn’t do anything. If you have an opinion, then you should voice it and let people know that is your opinion and you’re not speaking for anybody but yourself.”

Sessions warns against obstructing border police

Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a warning on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security, saying that regardless of what anyone thinks of Trump administration immigration policies, obstructing or abusing border and customs officials will not be tolerated.

"Free speech, assembly, and protest are and will be protected," Sessions said in a statement issued Saturday evening. "But obstructing law enforcement or committing other crimes will not be tolerated."

Tensions over the Trump administration's immigration policies — particularly those that have led to the separation of children from their families — have spilled over into the public treatment of everyone from Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to one of Sessions’ fellow Cabinet members.

Sessions' warning came after online activists threatened to dox ICE employees by attempting to publicly shame those who work for the agency and others vowed to use tactics similar to those of the occupy movement to grind immigration enforcement to a halt. According to Willamette Week in Oregon, ICE "temporarily halted" operations in Portland after protesters blocked the front entrance to a facility there.

"The men and women of ICE carry out their lawful duties every day, and should not be prevented from doing so simply because some individuals disagree with their mission," the attorney general continued.

CNN reported that the Homeland Security Department sent an email to its employees Saturday warning them about threats to their personal safety and reminding them of the security resources the department has available. The department's secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen, had protesters surround her while she was eating dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Washington on Tuesday. On Friday, people demonstrated outside her home.

Although President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday that appeared to at least temporarily halt the practice of separating families, he is showing no signs of moving away from immigration as a key issue, as was made clear during a appearance Saturday in Nevada and again Sunday morning.

"Democrats, fix the laws. Don’t RESIST," the president wrote on Twitter. "We are doing a far better job than Bush and Obama, but we need strength and security at the Border!"

Trump Cools On ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis: Keeps Mattis Out Of Loop, Doesn’t Listen To Him

Secretary of Defense James Mattis has slowly lost the President’s ear in recent months, a rift that dates back to President Donald Trump’s decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, NBC News reported on Monday.

According to current and former White House and DOD officials, Mattis opposed the embassy move and has been left out of key Trump administration decisions in recent months, including the withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, the decision topause “war games” with South Korea and, just last week, Trump’s announcement ordering the Pentagon to move interplanetary.

Mattis and Trump reportedly “don’t really see eye-to-eye,” one former White House official told NBC, and Trump has started to rely more on his secretary of state and national security adviser — whose appointment Mattis opposed — for guidance.

Trump reportedly believes that Mattis looks down on him and has a habit of slow rolling his defense policy decisions.

Waters Has ‘No Sympathy’ For Trump Staffers, Urges More Public Shunning

At a Saturday “Keep Families Together” rally in Los Angeles, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) cheered recent incidents where members of the Trump administration were protested in public spaces or asked to leave businesses, saying she “has no sympathy for these people.”

“You think we’re rallying now? You ain’t seen nothing yet,” she said to a passionate crowd. “Already you have members of your cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants … protesters taking up at their house saying ‘no peace, no sleep.’”

Waters referred to recent incidents where Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant in Lexington, Virginia and protesters gathered to play audio of crying immigrant children outside of DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s home.

In recent days, Nielsen and White House aide Stephen Miller were also heckled by protestors in two separate episodes at Mexican restaurants in D.C.

“I have no sympathy for these people that are in this administration who know it is wrong what they’re doing on so many fronts, but they tend to not want to confront this President,” Waters continued at the rally.

“For these members of his Cabinet who remain and try to defend him they’re not going to be able to go to a restaurant, they’re not going to be able to stop at a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop at a department store, the people are going to turn on them, they’re going to protest, they’re going to absolutely harass them until they decide that they’re going to tell the President ‘no I can’t hang with you, this is wrong this is unconscionable and we can’t keep doing this to children,'” she said.

She encouraged listeners to join the movement by using public shunning as a form of protest.

History is “not going to be kind to this administration,” she warned. “We want history to record that we stood up, that we pushed back, that we fought and that we did not consider ourselves victims of this President.”

Virginia GOP Calls For Boycott Of Restaurant That Turned Away Sanders

The Virginia state GOP has seized on news that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant in Virginia on Friday night and has called for a boycott of the business, Red Hen.

In a tweet on Monday morning, the state Republican Party painted the incident as the “intolerant left” showing its “true colors.” It asked followers to sign a “boycott petition” to “show Red Hen that patriotic Trump supporters are the silent majority in Virginia!”

On the petition page, the group claimed that Sanders was thrown out “in the middle of dinner” because she works for President Donald Trump. However, Red Hen co-owner Stephanie Wilkinson told The Washington Post on Saturday that she pulled Sanders aside on the restaurant patio and asked her to leave after her chef and other staff members expressed discomfort in serving her.

In order to sign the boycott petition, the GOP asks for a participant’s address, email and phone number. The petition had received a little more than 50 signatures as of Monday afternoon.

Trump himself used his Twitter platform to weigh in on the fiasco and insult the business for having “filthy” canopies.

Gallup: Trump’s Net Disapproval Spikes Amid Criticism Of Family Separations

The gulf between President Donald Trump’s disapproval and approval numbers, according to Gallup’s weekly tally, went from 5 percentage points to 14 points last week.

The spike in net disapproval came amid intense criticism of the Trump administration’s migrant family separation policy. Last Sunday, Gallup showed Trump as having his highest approval rating, 45 percent, since the early weeks of his presidency.

According to Gallup, Americans who approved of Trump’s performance in office dropped from 45 to 41 percent between Sunday, June 17 and Sunday, June 24.

Over the same period, Trump’s disapproval number went from 50 to 55 percent.

Gallup tracks the percentage of Americans who approve and disapprove of the President’s performance in office based on telephone interviews with roughly 1,500 adults nationally, according to the polling firm. The poll’s margin of error is 3 percentage points.

In January, Gallup changed from daily to weekly approval updates. Sunday’s number “reflects a weekly aggregate of Monday through Sunday polling,” the firm said.

Sarah Sanders Opens Briefing by Addressing Red Hen: Calls for Harassing Trump Officials ‘Unacceptable’

Sarah Huckabee Sanders opened today’s press briefing with a brief statement addressing the controversy over her being asked to leave a restaurant.

She reiterated that she was asked to leave because she serves in the Trump administration, telling reporters she and her husband “politely left and went home.”

Huckabee Sanders said Americans should be able to disagree “freely and without fear of harm,” alluding to comments made by Maxine Waters and Peter Fonda recently, as well as people who have “chosen to push hate and vandalism against the restaurant.”

Without mentioning Waters by name, Huckabee Sanders said that “calls for harassment and push for any Trump supporter to avoid the public is unacceptable.”

Waters encouraged people to publicly harass Trump administration officials with remarks that have already been rebuked by Nancy Pelosi.

Report: Fox News Suspends David Bossie For Two Weeks Over ‘Cotton Pickin’ Line

Former Trump deputy campaign manager and Citizens United president David Bossie has been suspended from Fox News airwaves for two weeks after he told a black Democratic strategist “you’re out of your cotton-pickin’ mind” on Sunday, the Daily Beast reported Monday.

Bossie made the comment to fellow “Fox & Friends Weekend” guest Joel Payne.

“I’ve got some relatives who picked cotton, and I’m not going to sit here and allow you to attack me like that on TV,” Payne responded.

Bossie seemed to take issue with Payne’s protest.

“This is ridiculous,” he said. “This is what’s gone on in America. This is what we’re about. Ed, this is outrageous.”

Earlier in the conversation, Bossie used half of the phrase to refer to critics of the President who compare the Trump administration to Nazi rule in Germany.

“These people have lost their ever-pickin’ minds,” he said.

Bossie later apologized on Twitter

“David Bossie’s comments today were deeply offensive and wholly inappropriate,” a statement from the network Sunday read. “His remarks do not reflect the sentiments of Fox News and we do not in any way condone them.”

TPM has reached out to the network to confirm the news of Bossie’s suspension
