Xmen 1 and 2 were cool, nothing special but didnt suck either.

First Class and Days Of Future Past were awesome and back to back solid installments which is why I had high hope's for Pac.

X3 and Pac were not good. Trash to me is shit like Fantastic 4 where its unwatchable and horribly written and shot. Fox did a decent job at an average with Xmen and really had something going with First Class and DOFP had they kept the momentum going

It is being reported that Warner Bros. has shut down production on the Swamp Thing series and that the future of the DC Universe streaming service is in doubt.

North Carolina's Star News Onlinereports Warner Bros. has shut down filming on the James Wan-produced Swamp Thing earlier than expected as WB evaluates the futures of the DC Universe streaming service.




The article notes that actress Virginia Madsen, who plays Maria Sunderland in the series, confirmed the news in a deleted Instagram post: “I’m beyond sad. What a terrible decision. We have been cut to the core by those who have never set foot into the Swamp. And despite the rule I am going to use the hashtag. #swampthing.”

Likewise, local crew members are stated to have been notified as of Tuesday night that Swamp Thing will wrap production on episode 10 instead of going the full 13 episodes, with the writers and producers rewriting the ending.


Interestingly enough, the news follows Disney recently announcing their plans for their own streaming service. It could be possible that Warner Bros. is rethinking the DC Universe streaming service and that they may make it a part of their upcoming WB/AT&T streaming service, which makes sense. In addition, the DC Universe app is only available in the U.S., which immensely limits things. If WB wants to compete with Disney, which sports Star Wars and Marvel, they definitely should have DC as part of one overall streaming network instead of dividing things, which would force customers to subscribe to multiple streaming networks from the same company. This way, if the DC network is brought into the WB streaming service fold, Warner Bros. would be able to better compete with both Disney and Netflix (just think if WB also included HBO?).

Another possibility is that if the DC Universe streaming network is shut down that shows like Titans, Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing could find homes on already existing networks.

As is stands right now, Swamp Thingmakes its debut May 31 on the DC Universe streaming service, but apparently, it will only consist of 10 episodes.
 
I always said they don’t have enough content. If this is true will be sad to see shows like Titans and Doom Patrol and of course Young Justice go. Maybe they can make a deal with Netflix to come back
 
Wow the mighty DC I worshiped as a kid has become such a fucking joke, I was actually thinking about giving DC streaming a check but now it looks like It ain't even worth it.

I just don't get why they won't let Geoff cook..... He will lead them to the promise Land.... Shit just frustrating.

Your detractors don't love it. I think everyone would love great DC movies.

I think most people talk shit to you about DC because you are defending the indefensible.

DC fucking up and at this point are not on the right path, despite your insistence that they are.
 
Du Shadyteamed DC and now niggas wanna see them fail just to throw it back in Du’s face. I’ve enjoyed Wonder Woman and Aquaman and I heard positive reviews For Shazam. But it is what it is.
 
Cuz they have everything right there for them.

They literally have a comics guy in charge of production. An they have great source material that he's not only familiar with .. He wrote most of it.

They just have a studio that is more worried about following trends instead of letting the best product be produced.

I have no issue acknowleding DC's flaws.... But they're all correctable... And as earlier said, they have the tools to correct as well....

I told y'all last year mad ghost was going to drop quality product after quality project ...

And they did. It's not that they aren't capable.... It's just higher up keeps stepping in the way.... And they keep losing people who were on board to move in the right direction...

Finally, we now know who will be playing Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' upcoming reboot of The Batman. The actor will be playing his biggest role since the Twilightseries ended, trading in a sparkling vampire for a Caped Crusader. A new report from Variety just revealed that Robert Pattinson has signed on to play Batman in the new movie.

Pattison is succeeding Ben Affleck, who was originally going to write and direct the film as well as star but walked away after personal issues and numerous behind-the-scenes debacles sidelined the plans for the DC Comics shared superhero universe.

The report notes that Pattinson will be the youngest actor to play Batman at age 32. Director Matt Reeves wrote the script focusing on the crimefighter in his early days, before becoming known as the World's Greatest Detective.

There is no word yet on when shooting is set to begin, but with the title role finally cast we can expect to see a lot more announcements about the rest of the actors joining the production. Filming is rumored to begin starting sometime later this year.

The Batman is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2021.
