The Reeves batman is reportedly based off of the "year one" storyline. Will just be batman in his early days. Penguin is the rumored villain. Or one of them.

I think DC is just going go mainly be focusing on individual solo films for awhile. No build up to a team film. We will know other heroes exist but I wouldn't expect any cameos from any of them. I think Reeves batman will start with the year one version, age the character for the sequel, then age again for the 3rd film and any team up appearances. Wont be Affleck but they will make him look that age from the j league film

Reports are saying that Reeves batman script took some inspiration from Affleck's script. It's still being worked on but they're saying you can expect appearances from dozens of villains in batman's gallery (possibly in prison like Affleck's script had) and the main villains being focused on are possibly penguin and catwoman.
Would be dope if they did the killing joke or hush next.

The problem is executives wanna make Hollywood Blockbusters
And the directors wanna make the next modern day classic...
And they can't compromise.
Comic book movies are like a large percentage of movies these days..... And the executives just see the dollar signs and don't trust that directors will deliver.
Those budgets are massive....
So you get these directors and screenwriters who read these stories an get all excited about the potential movies they can make, and the execs read the script and hate on the shit cuz they don't understand the art behind it....
For example... Infinity war.....
All the characters that died, and the movie ending on a sad note was brilliant. It totally worked.
But the execs who invested all their money prolly had to take a lot of convincing to let to names get turned into dust....
Difference is fiege has the pull to convince them it'll be okay...
WB doesn't trust Geoff Johns to that level and it shows.
They've repeatedly changed several movies because they didn't believe in the vision.
They the ones who putting the money up, so they get to call the shots...
They just gotta realize they fucking it up for everybody

I agree with you on all but 1 minor point.
Probably didn't take a lot of convincing from Feige. Seems like his execs are just smart enough to know quality = dollars. Y0u don't hand the keys to a franchise to one person then make them convince you to dust everybody in Infinity War.

The DC fan in you should want somebody like Disney to take over DC. They'll at least let Geoff Johns do his thing w/o any interference.

In fact execs almost fucked up the spoilers cuz they wanted far from home promo out way earlier than needed bcuz of endgame
I kept saying Geoff Johns becoming a producer of mad ghost would be the biggest step possible in the right direction, and so far he hasn't disappointed in that role.... Only issue I've had since then is them fucking with swamp thing.
Also Ezra Miller dropping out cuz it looks like they weren't trying to do the flash movie he wanted...
If I recall correctly like all of them, Ezra and whoever was the initial director, they got like every flash printed comic that was in book form and studied the character..... These dudes was excited as fuck with all the potential they could do ... And WB kept delaying it and asking for changes.... They eventually got pissed cuz they couldn't make the flash movie they wanted.
Hopefully it can go to mad ghost and they can bring a quality movie to the screen. So
As much as I love the show... It's easy to surpass

I heard comic book writer Alan Moore was helping Ezra Miller write the script and the people who wrote Spiderman homecoming was writing a script for the next Flash movie. Then both groups would turn in their copies to the executives and let them pick which one is better and run with it.

Yeah that's the rumor. Ezra's contract expires within the next couple of weeks, by the end of may if I'm not mistaken. If they dont come to some sort of agreement then ezra is free to leave. Ezra wants a darker flash that was supposed to be in the same vein as how snyder envisioned. Studio and current directors want a light hearted flash similar to aquaman. Ezra said he'd make a script and wb said they'd hear him out but I'm pretty sure its gonna lead to ezra leaving.

You know what would be an awesome DC Movie?! The American Way which was a DC Vertigo comic. It would be really appropriate with all that's going on for this current political climate to make a movie about this comic.
I think it would rub some people the wrong way but I love the couple of stories I own under this comic

Havent heard of it myself but I'll check it out. I'd love for a number of vertigo books to be made into a series or movie. Thankfully they are kind of cracking into it. Got Lucifer going and some others. I know more are supposedly in development but who knows if theyll ever get produced
