They're planning to have Michael Keaton's Bruce Wayne be the Nick Fury of the DCEU and train Barbara Gordon to be Batgirl, Batman Beyond style... which means
- no Terry McGinnis
- no Killing Joke
- Barbara doesn't become Oracle
- Batman Inc is basically DOA
And Static Shock possibly regulated to sidekick status.
I don’t care if they do stories from the comics or not. Just make some good movies that make sense for the characters and source material. I think DC IS a long way from doing that consistently.
They should hire Kevin's friend/co-worker Marc Bernardin who is actually a screenwriter and comic head. I don't understand how he doesn't get more work, they routinely talk on their podcast about how they would "fix" current movies/shows and Kevin always jokes that "you wrote a better movie than the one that's out,I'd pay to see your version".
I figure if they hired Kevin to direct he for sure would hire Marc to be in the writers room. Marc has been writing for television shows the last few years so he has been working more than you might think

What makes this even more funny is in the few months ol boy has been here he's posted just as much negative shit about WB/DC that we have in the 4 years this site been up.
Naw y'all niggaz be taking joy and rooting for disaster. Too many jokes to compare my genuine frustration with y'all gleeful antagonizing...
I don't think DC is a joke,
I don't think WB is a joke,
I don't think they should just scrap the entire thing.
They have a lot of storylines to work with.
Their casting has been pretty damn good.
The directors and producers however have been struggling to stay on the same page. And I don't they are doing the best job of finding a clear direction. Everybody wanna be the hero, and they not working as a team.
I honestly had the most faith in Jeoff John's to get everything together... But he's either being blocked or lost his passion due to the constant frustrations.
While I'm not particularly optimistic about all the negative press, and I worry they're going in conflicting directions... These are still my favorite characters.... This my 4th birthday cake.
I had 3 milk crates of comics and mad toys that day they set me up for life.... So yeah I wanna see the niggaz win
Simple issue is they don't have a mind like kevin feige's overseeing things and board members that have put complete confidence behind the person in that role. Until that happens what we've seen will be the status quo.

I don’t get joy in seeing DC fail. I want both DC and Marvel to succeed because I honestly love both. But it’s comical to me when DC keeps putting subpar movies out. They got the blueprint with the comics and the animated movies but time after time we get WW84, or SS or JL. Like someone said before they need someone to take charge like Kevin Feige or Favreau

If they did a frame for frame direct adaptation of one of their animated movies the shit would be a hit.
Problem is these writers and directors want to put their own little flavor on shit without understanding what makes it great. WW84 she got all artistic about it being an 80’s throwback but totally missed that people love to see WW kick ass and be super powered.
The best part about WW’s reveal in BvS was her getting the hell kicked out of her and her smirking before running back into battle. That’s a badass move. Nobody trying to see Wonder Woman save the day with slow ass running and a monologue.

Do we really need a DCEU though? I’d rather have stand alone films or epic trilogies...
Warner bros tried to replicate the Disney marvel cash cow formula but failed monstrously, DCs strength lies within their almost limitless source material and the only film I’m really looking forward to is the Nolanesque standalone film from Reeves and the live action lantern corps series...
WB gives no fucks and would rather drop mediocre films according to their failed business model instead of dropping original gems or bring a live action Superman Red Son to the big screen...
