Welcome To aBlackWeb

The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

What you mean...Your people?

they’ve divided the population according to health risk in the vaccination road map.

so it’s :
- IC/Healthcare people first (January)
- elderly in retirement homes and handicapped people in nurseries
- than basically everyone above 60 with underlying health conditions (February/March)
- 16 to 60 with underlying health conditions March
- 16 to 60 without underlying health conditions (may/June)

so I’m in the last group, eligible for a vaccine by spring...

I already caught the vid so its fuck a vaccine

my wife already had it and was down for a day or 2 but my son and I tested negative at the time, which made me believe we must have caught it before or got one hell of a immune system since the 3 of us didn’t social distance or something during the quarantine period lol.

My parents recovered from the Rona. Still have lasting side effects to them. My mom still has no appetite and my dad still has shortness of breath every so often. Still they're all clear from the virus.

Both of my sister's in laws had it. One in Cali had it damn near died. Was in ICU for 2.5 weeks. Sis inaw here in NC who's a nurse has it now.

I've lost about 7 family members to this virus SMH.
I've lost two.

Just sadness all around....and anger for all the WILLFUL ignorance.

'Been saying for a minute that they're making a huge mistake by just giving the vaccine to specific groups of people.

Granted, I had no idea they were throwing vaccines in the garbage..............but it makes the most sense to get the vaccine to as many people as possible.

Not just specific groups.

The people in high risk groups definitely need the vaccine to keep them from catching it............but limiting it to those groups does nothing to slow down the spread of the virus.

That's only gonna happen when you start giving it to everybody.

However, if the estimates are right about the general public not getting it until April or May...........it might be too late because we could be averaging a million or more cases per day by then.

Seems farfetched, but last month...........when these vaccines were first starting to get approved............we were getting about 100,000+ cases per day.

Now we're at about 200,000+ per day...............in just one month.

So, if it can double in one month, we can easily be at million or more per day in the next 3 or 4 months.
