i was trying to start earlier than scheduled. The FDA was still in the building. I just didnt know where.
i just wasnt even thinking and i knew i shouldnt have been there but for some reason i went in early.
so basically i have free reign to go into pilot plants and all that shit. so i go in....gown up and notice someone staring at me. im thinking dude must be homo...but its work so i ignored him and some people came up kept telling me they have a great menu in the lunchroom and i should try it.
im looking like..yall know i dont eat here. i said no thank you, i just want to get to work.
so im in the pilot plant now, doing my thing, and here comes the homo guy with a few other people.
they introduce themselves as the FDA and started with the questions.
basically they have to make sure i am qualified and certified in all areas to work on that particular product. i didnt have any of my paperwork and was in the middle of a data migration so i couldnt just pull some shit up and if they suspect i am not qualified it could invalidate a whole batch of media or maybe even trigger a recall.
the media was in three 25000 litre bioreactors. the cost was well over a billion. my insurance aint no where near that and i am assuming the company most likely would have came after me for that loss. even tho i was legit...they would have to stop until i could prove it and the delay may have allowed cells to die.
so when i say they had me shook......i was sounding like adrein broner trying to stay out of jail.
but thankfully the company had copies of all my up to date certs to cover their own ass. they gave them the paperwork, i got angry emails and i had my access revoked and now when im onsite at any of their locations, i need an escort.
looking back they couldnt tell me to leave right out with the FDA right there because it would look suspicious.
sometimes im oblivious to the obvious.
its a character flaw.
