Have you all seen the reports about Kamala paying for the set to be built for the Call Her Daddy podcast and having to actually pay for a lot of the celebrity endorsements and performances? I know Dems always get a ton of celebs but have never heard anything about them being paid for it. Is this a common thing or is this something she had to do because nobody liked her?

No I am catching up on things tonight.

I saw Thomas Massie should be getting a position as Secretary of Agriculture. I like that. And I am loving the idea of Vivek leading an efficiency department to slash the government. Hoping Tulsi gets a job too.

Not loving the trend of guys like dude from Fox News and Mike Huckabee though.

To get the $2 trillion dollars they said they’d cut from the budget they’d have to cut a lot of essential programs like social security and Medicare. I’m sorry but I don’t want Musk and Vivek anywhere near the budgets.

Yes there are inefficiencies, but you have to be very delicate with cuts. The country is not a business. The product is people not widgets.

A billion dollars in 90 days to being in debt 20 million dollars. Yikes

I guess we will see. I think the government is massively bloated and inefficient and this is long overdue and there are plenty of places to look. Starting with the billions we have sent to Ukraine, money spent on illegal immigrants, etc. I don't know how much money is state vs federal but CA alone has spent billions on homelessness without even putting a minor dent in the problem. I am sure that isn't the only state with the level of waste and ineffectiveness but it is probably the worst of them.

Point is, there are billions of dollars of our money (that is everyone posting on this board regardless of who they vote for) going places it shouldn't be. Like him or not, Vivek is incredibly intelligent and knows what he is talking about. I trust him to do a good job with the position and again, think it is awesome they put this together to take a real hard look at government waste.

Anyway, I like how they claim they're for stopping government waste, and the cut always start and end with things people could easily argue is to help people and shouldnt be seen as waste, e.g., social programs, education, healthcare, environmental agencies, ect. But they always seem the ignore the biggest waste of money right now, our bloated military industrial complex. Dont you find that a lil strange?

Either way, anyone who says the government should be run like a business, is a moron. The sole purpose of a business is to make money, not to protect or help people. If someone disagrees with that, then let me ask you this, what business would cut a large part of potential revenue their revenue(taxes on the biggest earners)? If anything they'd tax them more.

Keep telling yall something weird went on

I'm not one for conspiracies, but this election cycle, I never received my mail in ballot. I got an email alert it was mail Oct. 1st and it never came. Because I was paying attention I had enough time to go online, make sure all my stuff was up to date and request another one. Same thing happened. Got the email that they received my request and mailed it, and again it never came.

So I had to vote in person, and when I was there i mentioned it to the laddy working there checking you in to vote. She said I'm not the first to say this, a bunch of people have told her this and its weird because this has never happened before and shes suspicious something weird is going on.

We might find out years from now they really rigged some of this.

They didn't contribute to Harris losing shit, even if she won Michigan, she lost 6 other swing states.

People and Reporters want Biden to fulfill his promises as his deadline for Israel was yesterday, but turns out he moved his red line again

Nah fuck all that, stand on your decision which was to protest the administration that actually tried to negotiate cease fires and have some compassion.

Decisions have consequences and these are the consequences for that decision.

I don’t trust anyone who has never served the public to run a government efficiency department. I do agree there’s a lot of waste, but you need someone who knows the importance of certain departments and programs to make the right cuts. You don’t need billionaires making those decisions because they can’t relate and have no idea the impact of those programs on people’s lives.

Think venture capitalists when the come into a company and immediately get rid of key people and the company flatlines and then they sell it.
