I don't think people are doubting him. In terms of Utd is an expensive risk following the Sanchez saga. If it turns out like Sanchez it will hurt Spurs for a long time.

Put it like this, Spurs are paying £20m for a loan of one season. Liverpool paid £20m for Thiago on a 3 year contract and 2 years younger than Bale. Its great if it works, but if it's another Sanches situation it will be seen as a fail.

There's no guarantee Sancho would work out for us, but when you have world class quality the chances of a man being a success is higher. Actually a smart signing if they get him for cheap. A quality player not good enough to be a starter but more than good enough to fill in when required and will be happy to play that role.
