I didnt understand that whole phase of play... Why bother letting the the game play on whilst VAR is being analysed behind the scene if what ever happens in the mean time wont count???

Prime example with Portugal being given a pen, that was then not given because the pen for Switzerland that was being analysed was then given, what a mess... They might as well just stop the play until they have analysed the decision...

Imagine the scenes if a team scored a winner in the 90th min that was then disallowed because the ref got a message in his ear saying the foul from 1 min ago should be given to the other team instead, chaos...
