Luke Shaw picks up both Player of the Year gongs at Manchester United's end-of-season awards
  • Manchester United's Player of the Year awards took place at Old Trafford
  • Luke Shaw beat Victor Lindelof to Players' Player of the Year by just one vote
  • The full-back then won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, as voted for by fans

He has been one of the club's few bright sparks this season, making 40 appearances in all competitions and winning their Player of the Month prize on three occasions

Victor Lindelof was second in the voting with Paul Pogba coming third. Lindelof also narrowly missed out on the player-voted award, losing out to Shaw by just one vote.

'It means a lot especially coming from the lads,' Shaw told the audience as he collected his trophies.

'They've always stuck by me when other people haven't and they've always helped me along my rough journey, but it's brilliant, and of course thanks to them all for voting.'

@ United Fans...

I think it's clear Shaw and Lindelof will make up half your back four for next season?

but how is Pogba in the PFA team of the year but wasn't even close to winning his own team's POTY awards? LMAO

Look on the bright side....Pogba might have to stay!

Pogba's move away from United in doubt after agent Raiola is slapped with worldwide transfer ban by FIFA... until a day after summer window slams shut (and it could impact De Ligt's future too!)

Paul Pogba's big-money move away from Old Trafford has been thrown into doubt after agent Mino Raiola was handed a worldwide transfer ban on Friday night.

The Italian-born Dutchman was slapped with a three-month ban which stops him from dealing with any transfer across the globe and is set to run until August 9 – the day after the Premier League transfer window closes.

Raiola was previously handed a three-month ban from working anywhere in Italy earlier this week by the Italian FA but the chairman of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has extended the ban to cover the rest of world football.

The Italian FA didn't reveal why they handed Raiola the ban on Thursday while his cousin Vincenzo was also banned for two months.

The workaround is that he'll either transfer temporary responsibility to his cousin who has a month less on his ban to do the deals, otherwise he'll find a friend to do it and give them a cut.
