The commentators on Sportsnet were saying a CL spot should be given to the winner but the PL would never agree to that.

I dunno about anyone else but I reckon giving what would be the fourth spot to the FA Cup winner instead would add more prestige to the competition. Fourth place can get a Europa spot instead.

Ahh OK yeah thats quite a good idea... Like DNB1 said though, on most occasions one of the top 4 normally win the cup anyways, but imagine if Wigan or Portsmouth had a CL run years ago though... BUT now that it is getting harder to get top4 finish (United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea) it would force the teams not quite certain on a top4 finish to put out strong teams, so it could get the competition abit more respect...

Wigan won it and got relegated haha so we had a Championship team in the Europa League...
