As much as I like Steph, it seems like they (media,announcers/commentators, analyst) always try to give him a pass for his play by saying he's hurt or not @ 100% when he's struggling in the 'Offs.

Pretty much but also Cleveland was fucking up him low-key. Anytime Curry was running off screens trying to get to his spots they were throwing bows, pulling him down, pushing him outta bounds etc.

You take Curry out GS will always be vulnerable even if KD is unguardable and that's what Houston did tonight.
