The Mandolorian is cannon and timeline wise this happens after The Return of The Jedi...so Luke would def be alive and it makes sense that Grogu would be a padwan of Luke Skywalker.

and for you all that have issue with skywalkers being included...

the Skywalkers are literally the center of the universe.

Everything that happens prior leads to Anakin and everything after is because of Anakin

anything Jedi/Sith related will always lead back to Skywalkers period

I understand that but in the same breath this could be a standalone storyline that didn't have to tie in with Skywalker's.

Still that doesn't take away from this show this series is great. Just tired of the time jumps and feeding back into the original star wars lore

But in all the star wars lore, skywalkers are a small fraction of the universe. Way better stories before and after this period. These movies and series make them bigger than what they really are.

The movies and series are all that 99% of the people that watch them know, lol. So maybe to you they not the center, but to 99% of watchers, they are.

And to Disney and the creator of Star Wars George Lucas they are, which is why they are always in or tied to all of the movies and series.

All y'all talking about is movies, there's way more stuff other than that. It's thousands of years of lore other than the 50 years or so of Anakin to the end of Luke. Like I said a blip in star wars lore.
