Good morning Gabi,

I got my Clp I'm almost driving.. the company I'm in school with Swift, has dry vans, reefers and flatbeds from what I have seen. I want to cut my teeth With Dry vans and then Do reefer.
They automatic or manual trucks?

Lucky! I tried out for CDL driving at my job and almost killed myself during training on manual lol.

@Banginscrew901 can you help if you got any questions too. He's a driver and helped me out.
Not sure but I know in tn if you don't test in a manual you'll have a restriction on your license. Automatics are cool if you riding around in the city though.

Ehhhhh....
Once I complete the 13 months where I don't owe them any student loans I'm going to explore my options. I appreciate any information you want to share anytime. I recently learned you can get your tanker Endorsement while you have your commercial learners permit And that it transfers over to your CDL.

Haz mat will be the hardest one the other 2 "tankers and triples and doubles " are the easiest but with swift think you'll only need tankers if you OTR. Unless you doing city work then you'll need hazmat

I know a lot of people who don't stay that whole time and leave before those 13 months are up. Remember you'll be making little to nothing that 1st year or so. And you may end up leaving for more money but you'll be in the hook for that cdl they gave you

Another option to get your cdl free go work the dock at one of the major freight company and see if they offer a dock to truck program. You work the dock while you get your cdl then you can transition to the truck once you got it
