Also age plays a factor in that as well.

Right. I grew up on DJ Screw and Michael Watts. I wouldn't dare expect west and East people(as a whole) to know who they were back then.

That still doesn't mean it caught everywhere in 1998 if that is actually the year it came out.

Surprised this is even being said when this place is the king of calling something a REGIONAL CLASSIC.

Idk I couldn’t go outside in 1998 without permission we ll have to check w some old heads from other areas
