When the last time you think an average person read a damn history book? And I ain't mean they are in college and have time but they want to. Not talking about popular history books either, I mean a cold hard one.

There's a market for biopics and historical films for reason and it's not because these films are entertaining because who seriously would find a fictional portrayal over the actual one...it's because people digest information in an increasingly less cognitively demanding forms.

Think about it...

All communication used to be verbal at one time. It was someone's job in the village job to remember all the history of the tribe and the land. And to get that shit, you had to listen to this motherfucker talk.

Then we started writing shit down. So now you gotta read the shit. Way less effort than paying attention to someone talk for hours.

Then we started started taking pictures and recording video.

Now we get information in 30 second bursts on TikTok.

Our brains are lazy as fuck. Instead of reading 5 500 page books to understand the legacy of and history of the Dahomey tribe or whatever, we want a 2 hour movie. And that shit is gonna be canon to the general masses. Not actual research.

Your right, it's the producers and writers creative choice to alter or leave out historical facts and even change them.
I think I just love films that choose to pull from historical events and really honor that inspiration. The grey area or rather creative freedom to pick and choose what parts of a real story you want to include in the movie, leaves an incomplete picture. But that's the difference between one movie and another. And I guess it doesn't have to be strictly factual or strictly fantasy. But that grey area where it's "based on true events" immediately makes me be like ok how much is true lol.

I was getting out the truck one day and the truck I’m used to being in didn’t have step. The truck I have now has a step but I’m so used to it not being there that I feel out and joked about it wit dude.

A couple days later I show up to a work site wit the older dude who is multiple levels above me and he made note that I was walking slow. I said that my ankle hurts but that’s it.

So a couple days go by again and first dude ask me how’s my ankle. I thought he meant cause fell out the truck but I told him I’m good and a story about why my ankles hurt due to a surgery when I was 16. If I’m immobile in a vehicle for an extended period of time my ankles hurt.

Later that day my supervisor calls me and told me both dudes said I hurt my ankle on the job and why didn’t I report it.

Lol I just posted a video about this Baseball team. They doing tiktoks during the game and of course have gone viral or whatever. But the video was saying how most Baseball games are 3 hours long and people's attention span is so short but how this team's antics could keep people more engaged lol

Honestly, I got into baseball by watching this YouTuber Jomboy Media and he post baseball plays and analyzes them. They are 3 to 10 minute videos.

I can't watch a whole game on TV.

Going to a game is fun though, since there's always stuff going on.

Corporations raised prices to offset the supply chain costs due to COVID and the War in Ukraine (at least that's what they say.)

So banks raised the interest rate in order to reduce the incentive to borrow money, in order to reduce the incentive to spend money, in order reduce the incentive to have high ass prices on goods and services.

Basically, the price of the brick is too high and people are staying buying the brick, which is keeping it high.

The Feds saying fine, we'll step on the product so y'all won't have to buy in at this ridiculous ass price, everybody can eat.

So dude just called me and ask me flat out instead of leading to whatever they were looking to happen. Cause I feel like the dude that’s higher up coulda just asked me when he seen me the next day, if he felt like I hurt myself at work. And dude is exmilitary big buff black dude, he ain’t scared of me. So why not just be direct? Like I said..all around shit makes no sense why it was done the way it was.
