Union scriptwriters, directors and producers receive royalties on the shows they write, direct and produce. He don't wanna split that up.
Tyler Perry goes to networks and streaming companies and he's like, yeah you can pay me a quarter of what you pay these White boys and I'll do it half the cost.
He has an independent studio, he ain't gotta pay for union producers, writers, directors, set designers, blah blah blah.
He gonna write a bullshit ass script and direct it himself. He gonna use the rest of the money on maybe two big name Black actors that he ain't gotta pay like a big name white actor. The sets are cheap. The movies are shot in 5 days. A whole season of TV shows shit in 1 month.
Basically, Tyler Perry is a slumlord and entertainment for Black American audiences is a ghetto.

I was getting out the truck one day and the truck I’m used to being in didn’t have step. The truck I have now has a step but I’m so used to it not being there that I feel out and joked about it wit dude.
A couple days later I show up to a work site wit the older dude who is multiple levels above me and he made note that I was walking slow. I said that my ankle hurts but that’s it.
So a couple days go by again and first dude ask me how’s my ankle. I thought he meant cause fell out the truck but I told him I’m good and a story about why my ankles hurt due to a surgery when I was 16. If I’m immobile in a vehicle for an extended period of time my ankles hurt.
Later that day my supervisor calls me and told me both dudes said I hurt my ankle on the job and why didn’t I report it.

But us having an issue with people wanting to be called what they want to be call is not fair. I don't think it's extra. I see why in corporate/business environment why that's posted on signatures and other places.
