You looked at the same picture I did and saw what happens when you don't drive all the way to the end of the merge

You create more traffic

You one of the people who drive in the left lane that can't figure out why people keep flashing their headlights at you from behind too?

No, in practice the traffic is created by late mergers. That's why I said what I did: It only works if everyone drives exactly the same way. If everyone got over when they saw the signs it would be a non-issue.

I'm the cat flashing the lights bruh. I got the speeding tickets to prove that much.
