mason dixon line..

we where shit got real fam... underground railroad went through us....front lines where the battles were fought

mason dixon line fam.... know your history

LMAO @ "that person metioned"..whatever that means

anyway

its not a region thing at all. Apparently there are people that live in the south that have never visited a Trader Joes either just like folks from the north havent.

Du made it regional btw...but i had never been in a trader joes until Baton Rouge got one like 5 years ago, but i had heard of it before prior to them coming

I like Trader Joes offerings but I hate them as a symbol of gentrification.
well, the area where the one is here doesnt fit that description at all

but at the end of the day...cookie butter is delicious and you are missing out if you dont try it...let me say...in my opinion. You like what you like at the end of the day

Ima get some.

idk about Louisiana but where I've been, Trader Joes and Whole Foods only open in gentrifying or gentrified areas.

i wish there was a big black owned organic chain.

i cant speak for Louisiana as a whole

but in baton rouge, the two areas where the whole foods and Trader Joes are located are not in areas where the community was being gentrified

they actually fit the areas that cater to the people who live there

but try some and let me know what you think

You couldn't teach your way out of kindergarden du

I dont
absolutely......

the whole thing is a satire on racism

I dont
........No, I think you'd have to have some subconscious racist thoughts to get those undertones

The crux of the prequels is that it's about a dominant group gradually losing their dominance to another group, that can be applied to many non-racial situations

like it's a direct commentary on how white america forces an inferiority agenda on the blacks in america, by switching it and putting the monkey's in power....

trying to show white how it feels to be opressed....and how the the foolish oppressors look to civil minded people....

i think they were pretty clear about this when it first came out....the sequels still use those themes, not as much..... but it's always been there from the jump

also the animal house theme on how the oppressed will become the oppressors if given power...a commonly suspicious theme charging the fear factor of race relations...

shi'ts pretty obvious to me

planet of the apes is suppsoed to be an eye opener to those who "don't get it"

show a white man being opressed by people he feels he's superior to,....and maybe they'll begin to understand the black man's plight....

they toned it down a lot as it went forward, but it's always there....

especially with the ape slurs
