Doug Jones would've been a decent pick but he could easily be used in other aspects. Plus the team behind Garland is very solid.

I'm waiting for him to say something stupid on Twitter that can be construed as instigating violence so they can have one more thing to charge him with when he's out of office.
With MAGAts storming the capital this is just another incentive to support defunding the police. Many of them are in cohorts with these fascists as well.
