I don't know why of aaaalll the people in the world was Sanders fighting so hard for Joe Rogan's endorsement SMMFH. It literally holds no bearing.
Sanders ran a horrible campaign and played himself.
And most boomers grew up on the idea that socialism is bad and once that was put out there decades ago that was always going to be their mindset. He did run a poor campaign that wasn’t good enough. He lost and he needs to own that.
But it wasn’t because he wasn’t nice enough or because he accepted the endorsement of one radio guy.
But it was because he was “too nice” and failed to make his case forcefully.
Old black ppl were never going to vote for Sanders - even if he spent ever Sunday at all the churches in the south and pandered his ass off relentlessly.
They didn’t like him
Period. And nothing was going to change that unless he convinced them of the truth - Biden is a weak candidate and he doesn’t represent their best interests.
The Joe Rogan thing is a convenient excuse after the fact. Most Boomers don’t even know who the hell he is
For the posters who keep harping on debates, do y'all think Trump beat Hillary in the debates in 2016? And do you truly think that debates will be the deciding factor come November?
And most boomers grew up on the idea that socialism is bad and once that was put out there decades ago that was always going to be their mindset.
Objectively?
Hilary won. But not my much.
To Trump supporters that means Trump won by a landslide. He landed some serious blows on her credibility and her hypocrisy and was able to run to the left of her on core issues.
He can do the same with Joe. Difference is Hilary was at least a competent competitor and had command of her faculties.
Also - Joes record is worse. And then there’s the little fact that he is credibly accused of rape.
And he has been involved in massive corruption.
“But so has Trump”
Yeah - but see - Trump isn’t running as a Puritan of sound moral character. Joe Biden is...
Trump will torch him for the hypocrisy that his supporters loathe of the establishment.
And It isn’t just debates. They are the exclamation points.
It’s the interviews and the press conferences and the shaping of the narrative and the responses to criticism and forcefully making your case, and the smearing of your opponent
If Joe looks weak in a debate it just confirms everything Trump will have said about him.
It sets the narrative in stone.
So, in short, you believe Trump lost the debates with Clinton. Mind answering the second question that I asked?
Probably not.
You are making a straw man argument tho. I am not saying the debates will be the deciding factor.
However I am also not pretending that they won’t be a major factor.
Furthermore, Joe Biden’s weakness’s don’t only apply to debates. That just happens to be where they will be most obvious
I'm not making a strawman argument. I'm trying to understand the focus on the debates from those of you that are mad at Biden being the nominee.
So you truly believe the debates will be a "major factor" in this election? With everything this country is going through now, you still have the debates having a "major" impact?

I do.
We have a Reality TV President. Debates are prime time TV
Americans are stupid. They don’t understand “everything the country is going through”
They understand what the corporate media tells them to understand. And much of that is filtered and shaped through the debates that occur on Cable News.
If Trump for embarrassed and called out in the debates AND even Fox News and Conservative stations have to positively cover his opponent and acknowledge his failure.
Yes that makes a difference.
That won’t happen. The opposite will
AND Again if you are truly trying to understand anything about those of us who are “mad about Biden being the nominee.”
“The debates” are just the tip of the iceberg.
I was going to type a full response but I can see that the bottomline is that you're going to be pessimistic regarding Biden's chances to win because he's not your preferred candidate. It is what it is.
Well try harping on those other things that you obviously believe are of more significance, since the debates are just the tip of the iceberg. The debate argument seems like an easy complaint to go with the "Joe is slow" narrative.
I welcome your response.
If you think my pessimism about Biden is based on “him not being my preferred candidate” - you haven’t been paying attention ...
I don’t care about the candidates by the way
Bernie Sanders is just an old Jewish white guy.
I care about their ability to win; and subsequently their ability to govern; and most importantly the integrity and efficacy of their agenda they wish to enact.
Biden only checks box #2 for me. And I am not even confident in that - given how much he has deteriorated mentally.
