FEATURED Target Plans To Lay Off 1800 Employees

This is a very nuanced conversation that can't simply be boiled down to "blacks don't support black owned businesses"

At the crux of this issue is this pov that a lot of black people simply are not equipped to be business owners. Period

It sounds nice to want to shop black first but a lot and I do mean a lot of black business owners treat customers like the drug game. Your business shouldn't be operated like flipping a pack. You are not serving fiends where you can treat them like shit cause you know they can't go anywhere else.

When viable, I always try to support black owned businesses for something I can normally get other places. But the owners of these establishments have to view and value me as a repeat customer based on any good experience I get from them. Upcharging me for everything, taking me for everything, always trying to treat me as if I'm in the wrong if I have a legitimate complaint isn't the way to sustain a business.

I'm not trying to get shit for free. I am, however trying to have a decent to good experience when shopping with you so that I can spread the word.
I never said "Blacks dont support black owned businesses" or you might've been quoting something other people say.

But that's another reason the app is important if utilized properly.

A lot of black people for some reason like to lean on the excuse of "Black businesses aren't professional" so they continue shopping at white establishments that they know don't respect them to begin with. That logic is crazy, but ok, lets roll with that.

With the app, there will be multiple options for every category. If you didn't like that BBQ spot because of their customer service, rate it a 1 star on the app and then try the other the BBQ spot options on the app.

I was with you but why did it have to be a BBQ spot in the example? DAMN.

I'm not speaking in hyperbole. What am I saying is part of the issue is some of these people should not be owners of anything

Also let talk about how a lot of us a whole lot of us do think the white mans ice is colder. But also being burned by terrible customer service is real. But again folks will accept terrible service from foreigners

I can only speak for my experiences but I've had some really bad experiences from black businesses due to unprofessionalism and left me feeling cheated. But I still try to support them.

No he's leaving because he presided over the some of their worse performing quarters in recent memories

Not everything a conspiracy theory
This. The shareholders are currently suing the company for not properly explaining the financial risk by getting rid of Target's DEI programs. Basically he fucked up the money so he had to go...

If anything, I extend miles of grace to our people but you not gonna keep pissing on me and calling it rain
True trust me I have had my shares of frustrating moments trying to support black businesses but they still our ppl and still learning
