I deserved it lol. They moved me to a new position but the old position was so easy and the new position was too much work that I didn’t wanna do it. Was looking for a new job anyway and my coworkers were complaining about my laziness so they fired me

Just got an email from the head of the officials association of the state about officials safety.
Some clown approached a baseball umpire after a game and threatened to rearrange his teeth.
The schools are supposed to provide security at all contests to escort officials after the game is over. I would've told them I wasn't gonna officiate until the officers show up. This shit crazy.

I just don’t get people nowadays. Maybe I never have, but people need to take a minute a breath. Shit ain’t that serious that you need to run up on a ref and try to hurt them.

Let me ask: has y’all obsession with sports died down with age? I still love it but I’m not inclined to watch football for an entire weekend anymore. I’m not spending the entire Saturday watching college football or the entire Sunday watching the nfl

I've explained this a few times when discussing fandom with beta but my shit dampened a lot once I found out what the state does to keep the pro teams here.
I realized there is just so much more important shit out here that calling yourself a die hard for any sport is just silly.
I watch to be able to give an opinion about the sport but I ain't about to be having what I feel are dumb ass back and forths either.
I'll watch every saints game because the season is relatively short and it's easier to keep up with
I try to watch as many Pelicans games as possible because basketball was my first love and I'm always trying to understand or rather view the game through different lenses. e.g. officiating, salary cap management, etc.
If LSU sucks in any given year, I'm not watching, regardless of the sport.

Yep, still interested but don't watch as much as I use too. Parents was bugging me this weekend about watching the Razorback game. I wasn't pressed to watch, but was happy af they won. I'll be at the bowling alley tonight so I know they'll have the game one while we bowl. I'll watch.

I be hyped as hell when any season first starts because I miss it when it’s not readily available. But after a couple weeks I be cool on it. I’m way more interested if my team is actually good. And I’m more likely to watch if it’s two really good teams playing. Other than that, I’d rather watch something that’s going to keep my interest.
