Um... No it ain't. Even that article acknowledges that anything outside of XY/male and XX/female are biological disorders/defects. Once you acknowledge that disorders screw shit up, you must acknowledge that the absence of such disorders simplifies the distinction between the two.

This is a terrible article. Everything the author points at are known disorders, many of which can be rectified.

Yeah, I really hate that bullshit argument that some scientists try to make to say biological sex is a spectrum. It's a bad faith argument.

We all know that biological systems are imperfect. Mutations, deficiencies, and defects happen. The argument they are making is that because there are some outliers that don't fit the rule, then the rule doesn't exist. That doesn't work for real world systems. That's why statistics exists.
