COMMUNITY Social Justice Thread: R.I.P. George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor & now Tyre Nichols

Maybe its me. But i dont know about yall. But all this feels different to me.

The sheer numbers and how its so wide spread across the country.

I remember the 1992 LA riots bein like this, this feels different

Yall agree?

Bruh I was 11 when the '92 King riots popped off...

...that was actually the first time I saw my momma cry because she was screaming "burn it down!!" at the TV...

...a whole nationwide set off like right now tho? Never seen anything like it.

This shit got the high score on the riot arcade...

...gon take a whole lotta quarters to beat it.

While I've wanted to see it happen. I can't help but be skeptical right now.

It doesn't smell right.

But I refuse to sit down from a safe place and criticize. That's what we're not about to do.

I just hope whatever happens the next few days niggas keep their knees on these cops necks. And continue to do this everytime it happens until police and these race soldiers are held accountable and that becomes the standard.

This is much more than about the murders now.

-40 million+ out of work/Gig economy from the post-recession era destroyed
-Growing Classism/Toothless leadership from both political parties
-Extreme Militarization of the Police
-Corporations got trillions in bailouts while most folks only got $1200 or nothing
-Student debt/Private Healthcare industry putting debt on everyone
-$7.25 an hour federal wage/dwindling workers rights

The powder keg in this country just bursted tonight. This summer gonna be interesting.

Yup

Oh yeah, and on top of all that we’re still suffering from a deadly pandemic with no end in sight. Like it feels like for the last 48 hours people have completely forgot about the Coronavirus.
