We separate over here and no sugar. I grew up like that unless I went to my grand/great aunt's crib, then it was mixed and baked.

Always did separate.

It's a hard question though cuz growing up, my mom and I when I got older, always cooked noodles separate and made our own sauce. So it's always plated with noodles then pour sauce on top. We always made a meat sauce though. Italian sausage and a few veggies maybe. So when it's plated and you eat it, the sauce mixes in just like that mixed plate pic.. so in the end, it's always mixed. But in the cooking process the noodles and sauce were always made separately.

I smoked a lot of weed and don't know how I feel about my original response this morning.

Mixed bc I only cook spaghetti when Im lazy which means not willing to cook the meat sauce from scratch and serve it separate which is the proper way

This... I cook the noodles in a pot, and the sauce in a pan.

Put the noodles on the plates... Then pour the sauce over it.

Then when everyone served... All that shit go in one plastic bowl

It does. It actually cuts out some of the acidity of the tomatoes and help balance the sauce.
