When Bill Gates started his software company (over 30 years ago) he was writing the code & i'm sure crunching some numbers.I say some because his family was rich and could hire an accountant. Now that its a giant multi-billion dollar corporation, he has people doing the numbers that he glances over. Thats totally different from a famous entertainer thats married to another MORE famous entertainer, getting sponsorship with brands, and having their money managers put their money in tech start ups.
You smart dumb niggas need to wake the fuck up. Stop thinking famous people are rich because, they're some sorta business savvy geniuses. They got famous for 1 thing & the people behind the scenes, that went to school on business & finance, made them more money for a fee. Those the people you should look for advice from. Not the dick heads whos only question is "Am I going to make money?", cuz they barely know whats going on, they only go off what they're told. So if that advice is wrong, they have no idea till the money is gone.

He made it to a billion because he had the talent to make millions first and foremost. That shouldn't be a controversial statement. Almost every successful business person anywhere has said that the first million was the hardest to make. Think about it, an absolute dumbfuck like Trump is a billionaire. By all accounts and evidence, he's a terrible business man, but when you inherit 200 million, you're put in a good position to get to a billie with or without business acumen.
I see that you wrote something, but you didn't say anything of substance. All I see is "Waaah how can you not think Jay is the greatest?" Again, I never said he wasn't a good businessman and I didn't say he didn't learn any lessons while making his rise through rap, so what exactly is your point? I made the Kylie comparison because some of ya'll are literally saying "Jay's got to be a business genius because he made a billion." Ok, if making a billion automatically means you're a business genius, then Kylie is too right? Her making it to a billie way quicker makes her much better than Jay right? Those aren't my arguments. But music is a business. You know how many artist got screwed out of deals because they didn't know the business. Jay, dame, and biggs put their money together to start their own label. While many others just signed the first deal that was offered to them. Master p and Jay are both smart with their money. Also, no one creates a corporation by themselves. They surrounding their selves with people that will support them. Also everyone that is successful in business are that way because they have a talent. Bill Gates was talented with computers. Real estate moguls are talented at knowing how to sell. These are things that you learn but that won't make you good at it. Also, you learn so much more when you surround yourself with people better then you. And you learn from failures which most people experience. Not everybody starts off as a "business genius " but you can end up one just by soaking up game from others and learning from your own or other people failures. Master p had talent as well. Saying he is trash at music is subjective. If he was, he wouldn't have sold the millions he did.

Again, I've said more than once, I'm sure he has grown to be a legit business man outside of rap, and I'm sure that he has made some good business moves in his life. But the thing that I keep pointing out is that this country's system favors people with money, and if you already have money, you substantially increase your chances of making more money. People are acting like Jay made it to a billie because he is just that brilliant of a business man. That's just not true. He was able to create hundreds of millions in dollars in wealth because he's arguably one of the best rappers ever. Yes, it took some business savvy to take his music that far and yes it took some business savvy to expand the way he did after he made that initial money. However, there is a huge difference in what it requires to build huge amounts of money based on nothing but your business mind and what it takes to build huge amounts of money based on your business mind and a talent and team that enable you to create millions of dollars in startup funds.

Bruh, that's simply not true. The entertainment industry is full of multi-millionaires who have successful businesses and very little business knowledge. It's one of the few industries where a talent by itself is basically good enough to make you millions of dollars once it's put out there and because it generates a fanbase, you automatically get a consumer base that will often support side ventures. Again, this is why the Kardashians are super rich. It's not because they are business geniuses. Hell, they don't even really seem to have any notable talents other than looking decent half naked. However, they came from money, knew celebrities, and had a little notoriety that led to them getting a show which allowed them to in-turn market to the masses. I fully believe the Kardashians have developed some business knowledge and have made some good moves, but to act like they have all that money because they are business geniuses is silly. I'm sure you understand that for them. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to see that for Jay.

I'd say the same about Kobe and LeBron. Magic is probably a little different because his ventures are more diverse, he's been doing it long, and he was successful before some of these big business pushes became mainstream particularly for athletes.
