Russia Declares War on Ukraine

People still acting like the proximity of NATO in the region is Russia's only reason for this invasion. People just ignoring the fact that Ukraine recently found that it has big pockets of natural gas (Russia invaded Crimea for their natural gas) and Putin himself in the speech leading up to the invasion basically said that he believes that Ukraine should be Russia's anyway.

This was found out a while ago, I wasn’t sure if it was the Black Sea or the top of Russia and was too lazy to follow up.

Hey yo when shit like this happens and we seen random Americans that are not military saying they gonna go and fight in a whole other country’s war is that legally possible or they like some nerve or something @Black_Samson @Los216

I'm pretty sure there are still help wanted ads in the back of Soldier of Fortune magazine.

That plus PMC's... Yeah it's very legal.

But usually it's just "never-been's" doing their best Uncle Rico.

Lol people just get sound bites from twitter without doing any reaserch

You are 100% right.. If Ukraine wants NATO on the border that’s they choice. It’s just Russias choice to respond. They gotta deal with that. NATO was founded to keep the Soviet Union in check. By joining NATO Ukraine is joining Russias enemy. If they can stop Ukraine from joining and not be bombed by NATO why wouldn’t they? This is America’s favorite play to run in Africa/Middle East. Install a puppet regime and return to regular life.

Is Putin a good person? No. Is Russia wrong? Yes. Is NATO at fault for simulating war on Russias border knowing they wouldn’t help them? How could they not be?

The comparison to the Cuban Missle Crisis is wrong. The Soviet’s sent nukes to Cuba in RESPONSE to America putting missiles in Turkey and Italy pointed at the Soviet Union. They did the same thing now that they did then.
When has NATO bombed Russia? Who is Russia to tell other countries how to live?

You're making a lot of excuses for Putin

You’re factually off base on most of your points.

Is NATO at fault for simulating war games in Ukraine?! You clearly aren’t aware that the war games Putin cite were a direct response to the massive war games Russia operated on both NATO & Ukrainian borders.

Also worth noting—war games aren’t inherently bad. Nations are entitled to prep their forces. Diplomacy just normally entails transparency with relevant parties when operating near borders, which Russia has neglected to provide on several occasions in recent years. I mean… there are treaties & agreements in place over this kind of shit and only Russia has ever broken those agreements—to hell talking about what Putin “wants” NATO to do. Given the annexation of Crimea in 2014 such behaviors signal as an act of aggression.

And the Cuban Missile Crisis is an apt comparison because it doesn’t matter who responded to what to make the point. The point is there is a “what to do” and “what not to do” in these situations and during the crisis no one was invaded.
