We're talking about going to live in white neighborhoods, attend white schools, support white businesses, etc... instead of continuing to build the black community

Ok cool.

So everyone can come into our hoods and do that same thing while others build up a community for them.

This is one of those times where either black should be a give mindset or all black people are not alike.

So

If 3 out if 10 black people move to the white section.. why are they looked at as funny? What are the 7 that didn't doing?

I think we give those that moved away too much shit. And those who continue to destroy not enough shit.

You seem to be missing the point. We're not talking about a few people moving away and being given shit for it. We're talking about how when things were integrated, there was a trend of the more mobile people moving out of the black community or ceasing to support black businesses because they perceived the white stuff to be better. He gave an example of the bus system in Winston-Salem. He pointed out how they had a really successful black bus line, but the novelty of being able to ride in the front of the white buses led to a lot of blacks going to ride the white buses instead.

It's not about a small group that choose others over blacks. It's about a destructive mindset where blacks tend to assume that others are better and therefore stop supporting their own and as a result blacks have trouble building anything.
