😂😂

PWInsiderElite.com has received a lot of emails asking about the Pat McAfee reveal tonight on Smackdown, which inserted him into the Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes storyline.

Those we have spoken to believe this was an edict from TKO brass to WWE Creative, not a creative idea that originated in the WWE writing room and was approved by Paul Levesque. One source believed the edict may have come from as far up as Ari Emanuel, but we have not yet confirmed that belief.

The idea seems to be that including McAfee in the scenario gives ESPN a new promotional dimension for Wrestlemania, given McAfee's importance and popularity on their platform, giving the ESPN audience something additional leading into their first-ever Wrestlemania broadcast.

I mean it is a strong card

🤷🏾‍♂️
extremely crappy builds to most of it and WWE aint like AEW where atleast they will go all out in the ring to put on amazing matches.

I legit lost all interest in the shit I was looking forward to because the build has been so ass and not fulfilling in anyway. No hype for me going into Mania even with matches that look good on paper.

i just…i just don’t understand these booking decisions

even if it’s not HHH’s idea he could explain to TKO brass how all this unnecessary celebrity involvement could backfire and kill fan interest. i get that could result in him being fired but that shits gonna happen anyway since ticket sales aren’t meeting TKO’s unrealistic standards
Nah he really cant lol. Tf he gonna say to Ari and or ESPN?

Pat = ESPN. From that perspective it makes sense that he be involved in the first ESPN Mania. It aint the first time they've shoehorned corporate agendas into the show.

The card is strong tho I’m not gonna take that away from them. And I don’t doubt that the talent will perform their ass off come crunch time night 1 and night 2

I can’t even really now recall a time aside from 39 & 40 where the tv along the way to Mania were good. And truthfully there’s been way worse builds to Mania than this one.

But after last nite, I might just skip the tv til we get to Mania itself.

WWE has always had decent builds to Mania since i started back in 07, not going to act like they been bad id even say they did alot better building the big matches up to feeling like a big deal then recent years outside the Cody and Rock stuff.

Also anytime WWE has a "great" card the matches never live up and they end up having the better match in the rematches at the following ppvs, kinda been a Mania curse. I honestly got little to zero hope for a great show but some good gas and food will hold me through it but creative has teally been horrid across the board.

The road to mania last year was a million times worse than this year. Most of the build last year they weren’t even in the States so they had those euro fans who were most interested in poppin themselves. And Cena was only around for some of it lol

And even the card last year was aggressively meh

I guess even then i atleast found some of the feuds interesting getting to Mania.

They pretty much killed the exictement for me with Roman and Punk and i probably was the hypest one in here for that when it was announced and not saying the build has been trash but more so they just did it in a wack lazy way to the point I dont wanna see anymore segments.

i need to tap into New Japan more and just other companies for my own peace of mind. Last nite broke my brain it’s moments like this where I’m grateful there’s other options.
