For those who have asked why WWE decided to make changes this coming week to their broadcast teams, we are told by sources that a big part of the reason were requests by Endeavor and WWE's broadcast partners to have Michael Cole as the face of the product going forward.
Kevin Patrick is extremely well liked internally but the feeling is that he still needs some seasoning, so by placing him with Cole and Corey Graves on Smackdown, they will help him gain some more experience and find the voice and vibe the company wants out of their lead announcers. We are told that it shouldn't be seen as a demotion as much as a step back for long-term gains.
We are told that Wade Barrett being moved over to Raw is in part because his chemistry with Cole is so great that they wanted it on the three-hour broadcast.
