No, Rampage didn’t have a higher rating than smackdown last week, but CM Punks AEW debut gave it a whopping 52% increase from the previous weeks debut

WWE sources have confirmed that Adam Cole has departed the company.

It is not a case of Cole having signed a new deal for the main roster and being hidden until his debut. If he comes to terms with WWE at a later time, obviously he could return but as of this writing, Cole is 100% a free agent.

Now, could Cole be AEW-bound? That is certainly a possibility but if so, AEW is going to play coy and hide that until they are ready to debut him.

A few readers have pointed out that during his debut on Rampage this past Friday, CM Punk had the initials "A.C." written on one sneaker and on the other was "C.F." Could the A.C. stand for Adam Cole? Certainly could be a possibility....

A source close to the situation reached out to PWInsider.com after my initial Adam Cole report went up and stated that Cole's contractual status with WWE is that his deal expires at the end of the week.

Internally within WWE, Cole is considered done with the company unless he is signed to a new deal.

My earlier report featured a line that Cole is 100% a free agent. That was an error on my part and it has been removed.

For those asking if Adam Cole is popping up on AEW this week, that could not logistically happen as he could not even have contract discussions until after the end of this week. As I wrote earlier, Cole could also re-sign with WWE if they come to terms.

If I was AEW I'd make this the last big signing for a year. That completes a loaded roster and one they can run with for years.

Cole will have a higher ceiling in AEW and they’ll have an actual clue how to use him. he should make the move
